Getting engaged

My girlfriend and I have been dating for close to 2 years now and I want to pop the question. I try to be romantic and do nice things, but I usually mess it up in some way. I've come here to ask everyone for something that is romantic and pretty easy to pull of. I want this to amaze her. I don't want anything like hide the ring in food or anything either. I go to college out of town and stay with her when I come on town. She lives in her dads basement for now( Its like an apartment) to save money. I'm gonna ask her in a few months probably.
So what can I do?

 

It depends entirely on your personalities.
Some couples find it super romantic to do it in a restaurant, or in public, or just while they are together with nobody else around.

Try getting one of her friends to ask her some questions. Without making it obvious of course

 

She would rather have a private moment. We've talked about the future stuff and i remember her saying she doesn't like when people propose in restaurants. I need something personal and private.

 

Try googling some ideas, you'll get an understanding of what to go for and you can make something original

 

Take her to a memorable spot, e.g where you first kissed or first date etc.

 

Do it on V-Day, and take her out and pop the question in a place she will be taken away.

 

Go on a walk to a natural beauty spot or somewhere get to a top of a mountain or something along them lines and pop the question that could work well .

 

There isn't a that good of a spot from where I am from. We could do a weekend trip somewhere though. Thanks guys!
