Clean up Miniranks plz

TL'DR There are too many shitty mini ranks.

Get rid of them all except the MOTM ones and competition ones

I petitioned for mini ranks not to be implemented 7 or whatever months ago, and my stance still hasnt changed since then. 'Extreme homosex' - really lol?

Agreed. Mini ranks at current hold no value. Awarding them as competition prizes - no one even cares with their current state.

 

Did you perchance think of this in response to seeing my post?

I originally suggested mini-ranks so they would be an incentive to participate on the site and in events, etc but as you can see no one cares because they are given out willy-nilly.

 

In one way it makes the community "somewhat active" but in another it really is just spam, and not to mention when someone has like 1000 mini ranks it looks untidy.

 

So in essence you are saying you did not read the post at all and gave an arbitrary opinion?

Using classic sythe viewing so I don't have to deal with the menagerie. In essence that's all it has become. =@

 

Not a huge fan of mini-ranks either. A piece of crap on a rainbow and "extreme homosex" just makes sythe members look like a bunch of weirdos. I'd get rid of them altogether personally or at least the ones that are sorta strange.

Giving my opinion on miniranks, how is that arbitary?
He wants them ALL gone except the ones that are actually earned by other means, maybe you should read my post before posting an arbitary opionion yourself.

Because imo, they look cool and it keeps the community ACTIVE.

We should remove all the 'fun' miniranks imo and keep the earned ones.

 

Mini-ranks were made to raise community participation and activity in certain sections.

The posts in sections mini-ranks are fine (community participant, graphics participant, support participant etc), the awarded mini-ranks (battleship, motm, sythe awards etc) are fine and the special events (st paddy's, easter) etc are fine. The rest are junky, devaluing and pointless.

Sythe did post somewhere about having the 'junky' ones only visable in spam forum, I think that's the way to go.

 

I agree about the saturation of non-essential miniranks, such as uwotm8 and the like. The award ones, e.g Sythe awards, participation ranks etc. need to stay put.

 

i would be inclined to agree with this. the whole miniranks shenigians has gone on long enough to damn many of them.
