Staff Interview: FireZ

I know I'm not the first person starting this here but he was banned and no one picked up the series so after getting staff approval they have let me continue the tradition. I hope to get through most of the staff members in the coming months/weeks so any comments or suggestions will be welcomed. Just post them below. Okay now done with that boring stuff lets start with out interview with a current Global Moderator and User Educator... FireZ!

How did you find Sythe/why did you stay?

I searched on Google for a runescape account with 99 Hunting. When hunting first came out I thought it was the dumbest thing of all time in RS. 1 month later though I decided to try it out and it has been one of my favorite skills ever since.

I joined Sythe on December 4th 2009 and left roughly on Feb 2nd 2010. I had been scammed twice and had finally felt like I just needed to get away for awhile and come back fresh. I took at least a 70 or so day break and then slowly came back in April. At this time I came back to the spam forum and as a usual newbie is, was flamed to death. I only had about 2 Sythe friends still around as well. I just started to slowly make more friends and get involved in more discussions. A lot of Sythe-ers might not take a great liking to me at first, but I think once they talk to me the majority of them like me for the most part.

Lastly I stay now because even after I quit rs for good some day, I have a nice home and great community to talk to whenever I want.

What hobbies do you have besides Sythe?

Most wouldn't call it a "Hobby" but I like to work. Also I like 60 hrs+ a week. Other things I am into are running, basketball and working out at a fitness facility.

Who have you enjoyed most banning and what would you say to them if they are reading this?

I have banned my fair share of people and I am sure its not going to stop for a longtime coming.

Anyways the first person I'd like to direct statements at is Necromancer24. I didn't "Directly" ban him, Finn did to my knowledge, but I gave the evidence required for the ban. I don't "hate" him or anything but his recent attack on me in the spam forum was ridiculous. I know he always liked to be known as the vader catcher with 100+ caught. When I received news of getting modded the word on the street was that he was quite mad about it. Lesson learned here is don't get mad @ FireZ, its an automatic ip check every time.

Also the butthurt Sebben and AlexLT. We don't like people of your nature because all you do is thrive on hurting and destroying others. Also corruption isn't acceptable here @ Sythe so I have no clue why you think I would ever let your 10B+ in scams "slide". (Sebben)

Lastly I'd like to address ALL banned users as a result of testing my reflexes. If I banned you and your still banned, you deserved it. I am just doing my job so don't get mad at me or rage at me because it only motivates me to just ban even more.

What is the most stupid question any one has asked you here on Sythe? (And you can't say this interview )

I filter through tons and tons of questions so I don't have any specific ones that jump out at me. Sometimes though I wonder how people do not understand what "ban evasion" is. It is self explanatory but nevertheless I just answer the question and move on.

On average how often do you spend on Sythe per day? Also what part of that time is spent doing scam/spam reports?

I have the very unique ability to moderate while @ work a lot. I sit @ work on slow nights and do nothing so I like to cruise around Sythe. It helps me pass the time in an otherwise boring atmosphere. When I am at work it can be 3 - 14 straight hrs with a few breaks in there as well.

On the average day I probably spend a good 6+ hrs on Sythe. I usually work 7 days a week as well so it all works out. The most time between home and work I have spent on Sythe is 28/36 hrs in one stretch.

As far as scam and spam reports I can spend quite a bit of time with those. Now as a Global Mod, I deal with many more ban disputes and chasing after scammers. I am slightly being stretched thin with my new UE duties, scam reports, ban disputes, Staff discussions, off-site sweeps and just general moderating.

If you could change one thing here on Sythe what would it be?

I know this will annoy Sythe himself, but as Sin666 said "Self vouching should always be a permanent ban". The rule is set for 90 days and thats what I enforce though.

How much longer do you plan to stay here at Sythe?

I hope to still be here through at least 2015. I might not be staff that entire time but I won't be leaving the community anytime soon. As long as I have the ability to help protect innocent decent traders then I will be doing so.

Do you have a girlfriend or are you married?

Haven't had a girlfriend in awhile. No hurry in life on that issue as its not a thing I'd like to rush.

Are you still a virgin?

Nope.

What do you do for a living?

I work in a hotel. I have been there since I turned 16 and I am now 23+ years old. So I guess you could say I have some experience in hotels at the least. Someday I hope to further my experience and land a spot in a vacation spot hotel.

Do you have any siblings?

Yes. I have a 20 year old brother. Also have a 2 year old dog.

Favorite child hood memory?

Every single time I played basketball on my court at my house. I used to play 2 - 4 hrs a day for over 5 years straight. When I was in school I was very much into basketball.

Most embarrassing moment?

I have had a ton of embarrassing moments in my life. One of the bigger ones was doing a dance we called the monkey dance back when I was in 4th grade. It was quite the hit with the class and looking back at how silly I was it still brings a smile to my face to this day.

I went back to see what other people suggested when necro was running it and took some questions from there, I will continue to use questions that have been suggested but if people have more they can post them here and I will try to use them.

About a week before the interview, make a thread asking members what questions they would like to have answered, and then pick X amount out of those and ask them.
