Alex_J_Leon Ban Appeal

First and foremost I would like to state my apologies to Ryan and to Trin. I know I gave them both a hard time (sorta, not really =p) for what was being done, and it is unfortunate that these events happened. I'm sorry that this happened, and I am sorry for the way that I acted, as well as sorry for the way other people acted.

Second, I would like to state that no one was innocent that was banned, except hattez and heattez =]. Everyone else did their share of spreading, whether it was in private conversations or in group conversations. He has absolutely no idea of what happened, and who did what. He was in a convo with Ooga and thought that he had something to do with it. He still thinks that it was Ooga association.

I'll begin with what OSQ reported. He was added in hours after everything had added, so he was clueless as to what really happened. This is what lead Richard to make a thread about Ooga and associates. There is only one person who adds the guy into the convos anyway -.-. Ooga was not involved, for he is not associated with BugAbuse.

Were these pics some sort of retaliation to n4n0 and Trin's posts in the SF? I'm answering this for Ryan, in case he is wondering.

No and yes, but mostly no. The events that happened were largely catalyzed after BA members saw one of the threads that was created. To go into more detail, it was thought that Trin's e-mail was n4n0's junk e-mail. In an attempt to go through n4n0's junk mail, they found out that it was actually Trin's e-mail. Really, it was just a minor attempt at trying to gather information on n4n0, but it proved to have other personal information and that information happened to be about Trin... but that doesn't matter, because I know BugAbuse well enough to tell you that BA would have posted her information regardless of whether or not she had a Sythe account, regardless of any actions she took.

Who obtained the pictures, and who posted them to the website?

Of course, the person who obtained the pictures was banned but the people who obtained the pictures were merely BugAbuse members... the person banned for the IP match is the person who obtained the pics, while a few BA members posted pics via VPNs, as well as Semper Fi for a few of them.

What did I -actually- do?

I was busy while most of the things were going down, but I did have my finger on the F5 key. I merely posted the links to the pictures only to the Sythe chat, which was flooded with links either way. Is that an excuse to post the links as well? Of course not. I was just jumping off the bridge because others were doing it.

What did I -not- do?

This is sort of a douchebag question for me to be answer, but I'll answer it either way. I did not edit or otherwise alter any photos, as others may have done. I did not make a website dedicated to hosting the photos, as others may have done. I did not make some of the extreme jokes, as others may have done. I stopped posting any links to the information sooner than quite a few other people.

I also know that there are at least two people who haven't been banned who I know also spread the links, and two people who have been banned who I know didn't spread the links (aforementioned heat and hatt). I know that there are people who did things that I did not do who may appeal, and may get accepted so I'm going to say this... why not have an equal ban period for everyone who was involved with the spreading of the pictures to Skype contacts, because I am sure that some of these appeals will be accepted, whereas some won't... but if you deny my appeal, then you may as well deny -almost- every other appeal as well. I stole twenty stickers from my sister's sticker collection, but other people stole two-hundred, and other people stole two. I hope this is done, but that would mean changing everyone's bans, including any who were unbanned, to a set time (week, two weeks, month, two months?) or giving out SF bans.

I cannot think of what else to say... I'm pretty sure I had a few more things to type out but I forgot =p. Just know that if you plan on denying my appeal, consider what was said above. I am no threat to the Sythe community, and I would never scam.

Again, n4n0 I apologize for what the bug abusers did... I hope you enjoy your time off the staff, and come back if YOU want to come back. I know you've struggled with staying on the staff team before, and I think it would be great to take a break (I say this out of experience, as a fellow forum administrator... breaks can help you out... yes it sucks that you'll be like UGH I WANT TO DELETE THIS, but relax and relax on any reports...) (Also, it makes you realize the limitations of being a "regular" member). None of what happened today should follow you anywhere, just remember that.

P.S. I was going to wait to appeal, but I wanted to say these things before anyone who did the worse things appealed (hopefully they haven't already =p).

• Those who aren't guilty of anything to my knowledge will be unbanned per a dispute of their POV
