Squeal of Fortune

I just found this post on RSOF about a guy who PK'd some Dragon Claws that he thinks his victim won from the SOF, because upon death the item was not dropped:

The thread is kind of useless at the moment, but I would keep an eye on it as its bound to get some replies from people who have tested these things out, or even a J-mod who can confirm how the new lucky items work in PVP.

EDIT: Forgot to add that about P2P items won on F2P, the game DOES NOT store them for you! Apparantly, you are instead suggested to subscribe immediately to claim your prize, otherwise you lose it. That is such a dick move in my opinion... Jagex obviously made it so that you can win expensive P2P items on F2P... for a reason.

 

It is to help stimulate the economy beings so much has been deleted due to botters\rwt\scammers etc.

 

runescape just want to make real money of this so ppl buy membership and they make money its probally a chance 1/1000000000 to win a price because i did this on 15 accounts and best price i got is experience lamps and 10k cash

 

i just got a ranged lamp, free 17k xp, the other spin was junk

 

I always get junk, a SMALL lamp or 10k got 40k already lol...

but yeah, it's a dick move showing p2p items in F2P .. It's just a money-plotting. :/ But well, if i get a armadyl lucky item on my main, I'm happy.

Anyways, I got a small XP lamp and 50 gp. XP lamps are pretty nice, I must admit.

It wouldn't be so bad with the XP lamps, my biggest problem is some of the items they chose to put in the chest.... spirit shields, claws, bandos items etc. I can't complain about free XP though

 

main problem i have with this is the spirit shields/instantly trying to make you become member... you should atleast have a period of 2-5 days, incase you pay with UGC or some other card which requires you to leave..

I quite like this update, you can't really complain if you have the chance to receive a free godsword or spirit sigil. I think Jagex did this to deter people from RWT, so they don't have to resort to buying gold or items, but they can instead receive it for free (with some luck).

 

Got XP lamp on my F2P account and it said I need to upgrade to receive it lol. Jagex is pathetic.

 

Fuck my life. Two different account both one away at the meter at the bottom from an ely and zammy spear.

The higher your CB the higher the prizes .

 

I wonder how this will effect the economy? Should be interesting to see.

I disagree with most peoples opinions here. I'm in now way wealthy myself on RS. I have never been able to afford a divine, I could get a ele but its the majority of my bank. I think the update does give us 'poorer' people a chance to have decent gear or atleast not spend our banks on one shield.

I do understand that is must be annoying to anyone with wealth, anyone who corps a lot etc but you are the minority. It also gives jagex something else to try and get new players in saying they dont have to spend forever saving up, classic jagex marketing.

Btw i got 1x 50gp and 1x rune plate.

 

I got a bucket for the first spin, noted raw swordfish for the second spin. Bullshit.

 

This update is just one more thing for people to bitch about.
People will cry and complain nonstop that have bad luck and poor little me.
It's funny how when something is free to do, yet you still fail at it, you rage nonstop.
This is Jagex's way of saying stop gambling, we are tired of the crying and bitching on the forums, so here is a free easy way to get free easy shit.
But wait....? People still bitch!!! Jagex just cant see that they are trying to please players who are big cry babies.
