Sad, I got 2 cowhides for the first time... then i try again and get 2x soft fucking clay? what a bs this is??

 

Out of 9 times, i got 50gp 5. 3x small lamps, 1 med lamp

 

50gp and medium lamp. Those lamps are pretty decent. Also most of the god swords and stuff are untradeable, but still pretty lame that some people will get them for free. Might even see people pk with them since they have no value

 

Knowing my luck, I'd probably receive junk.

This is just another diabolical plan by Jagex to try to get people to buy membership (2x a try a day. Plus, could get items worth at least 10M+ if you're lucky. Basically, if you're a noob and you become a member, you CAN make money in minutes.)

 

i saw sgs, 10m, spectral, claws, some weird goblin hat and something about a tatoo... Also if your in f2p and you land on a members item e.g claws you have to subscribe to members right away, you cant just leave it in your bank

 

I just logged in and gave it a spin and it was interesting, but I can't help but think that this is yet ANOTHER retarded update from Jagex.

I just went on the Runescape Official Forums and there is ALOT of people raging about the fact you can now obtain extremely rare items - such as a Divine Spirit Shield - on the Squeal Of Fortune. Even though any item over 100k is untradeable, that is still one less person who is going to purchase a Divine from a person who actually worked hard and spent millions of GP, and countless hours obtaining a sigil drop from Corp.

What are your thoughts?

 

Imo I agree with the people raging about that, If i spent all those hours working my but off to obtain a sigil drop I would be pissed too when ANYONE can just get one with a click of a button. Thats just my thoughts tho

This is a way to get more log-ins / day, thus showing the advertisers that they have a huge amount of traffuc on their site.

 

I have to agree with them as well, Bailey.

Although I have never had a spirit shield before and could never afford that myself (AKA, it would be really cool to recieve a free one from the wheel), I still think it would be total BS if I were actually to recieve one from simply clicking a button.

Thinking from the other side of things, if I spent countless hours and millions of GP camping Corp for months to recieve an extremely rare sigil drop, I would be completely cheesed off that some level 3 skiller comes along, clicks a button, and wins an item like a Divine spirit shield. That is just one less person who will actually work to pay for the item that I worked so hard for to obtain & sell.

With all the contraversial points aside, does anybody else think the concept of this update is just plain stupid though? I mean, really? You spin a wheel of fortune that some little green goblin invites you to spin, and you get free items? Runescape is not a gameshow, nor is it a game for 8 years olds. I just don't understand Jagex's thoughts here.

... Oh wait a second, yes I do. All Jagex wants is the $$$. GET THIS - I heard that if your F2P, you have access to the P2P items on the wheel, but if you win one, you cannot store it in your bank or save it in any way, so apparantly it offers you a chance to pay for your subscription then and there so you can retain that item. Is this true?? If somebody could confirm this that would be great. In the end this is just a big money making ploy yet again, and an incentive for people to log in daily so they can get their spins.

 

there was 10m both of my spins and on the second one there was a spectral shield. Got 50 gp each time though...

 

I got 2x10k, a rune 2h, a cabbage from my rolls. There were some juicy loots there though. Can you use the lucky weapons/ armour in the wilderness?

 

That is a good question. Anything above 100k in value is untradeable, so it may be the case that items cannot be used in the wilderness. I haven't seen any mention of this yet though.

If somebody could confirm, that would be awesome!

 

Also curious and would like someone to confirm you CANNOT store p2p items while f2p? As well as being able to use Lucky items in pvp/dangerous areas, and if so what would be dropped in place of them

These are farmvillish kinda things, I don't think it will have a big impact on the game, but it's just a big no-no, for every decent game to participate in these lame efforts in binding players to their game.

"After recording I was informed any items above 100k value are called 'lucky' and are then untradeable" it is highly likely that when you roll you won't get anything over 100k and if you do get a high value item, it's untradeable.
