Vouch Button

I think it would be a cool idea to have a thank you button but its a "vouch" button instead, its basically the same thing its just you click the vouch button and you write a short little summary and it adds up, it would be alot better then just copy and pasting the quotes in your sig, and the people that mod this you guys must have good scripters so this would be a good idea in my opinon

 

Uh no that's stupid it would be abused way too much.

 

If it can be done easily, it's actually a great idea. Are you saying it should store somewhere specific or just work like the quote button?

 

This sounds like a great idea. To add on to this suggestion, people could only vouch you once a week. So lets say I vouch Inventor419 for selling me 30M. So I vouch him with the button. But let us say, I buy 50M from him th next day, I will not be able to use the vouch button since I vouched him already that week. this would prevent the abuse of the vouch button.

 

Should have to be approved by a mod and the vouch button should require some sort of proof of the trade or it will be abused.

I think its a good idea. hes right it would be so much easier to keep track of people's vouchs instead of haveing to copy and paste every vouch you have. Plus no one would have fake vouchs.

Yea there would be maybe like a section for a trade report and you put the url into like a textbox and right a short little summary, and it can either link to your profile or your signature, so if you have a url in it cant be fake and if you dont put in a url or you put in a fake url the vouch doesnt go through, and i kno it can easily be done, ecspecailly on vbulletin

vouches are NOT currency and should not be solely trusted

the mods or who ever adds it if they do can decdie if the link has to stay there or if it only has to check it once

this way you cant really abuse it
and the vouchs you can have an option to make them go to your signature or to your profile or both

the 3rd one is just incase it doesnt work just, so it would go 1, 2, 4, but if 2 fucks up it goes to 3

It is an insanly easy script to do for someone who knows and JAVA or PHP. Anyway, the problem with this is that people will trade vouches even more than they do now.

Making vouches easy to leave just makes more room for abuse. Exactly the reason why rep/thanks system is disabled, and why itrader has never been installed.

 

This is almost, if not exactly how itrader works. I don't see what yours brings to the table that itrader doesn't already offer.

 

It gives a link just like regular vouches and I think it would be alittle more organized.

I don't see anything wrong with it if they supply info from the trade. But there shouldn't be a time limit. I'm for it, hopefully enough mods would give into it.

It would be abused horribly, I don't recommend it. The system here is fine as it is.
