    Just finished reading the book. The movie looks way too cheesy and I for one won't be seeing it...

    They already made the Great Gatsby into the movies back in the 70s, and it wasn't critically acclaimed then. I still don't see how a movie will change the book at all.

    Robert Redford > Leonardo Dicaprio (judging solely off of who makes a better Gatsby). This one looks like they'll just replace the actual essence of the story with sex and promiscuity. I'll see this movie, but I'm not hopeful. Our generation ruins everything more times than not when it comes with adapting something from the past.

    The movie was amazing in my opinion. They really laid it out so much more than the older version of the movie in which people who didn't read the book could understand. The hip hop music was kinda weird imo but I get why they included it in this version. The other music, I think, was a perfect fit for it though. They missed a couple small key parts from the book but nonetheless had all the major parts there, including most of the important quotes. AND THEY INCLUDED OWL EYES THIS TIME, YES. But only the library part!

    I don't think this is Leonardo's oscar award winning movie honestly. He was good but not oscar material tbh :/

    Tobey Maguire was perfect for Nick tbh. He portrayed everything I picture Nick to be.

    The movie was great but the book will always be so much better. I feel like I had to say that because some girl behind me didn't read the book and after the movie I heard her say "it was sooo good the book can't even compare" or something along those lines.

    I was thinking of watching this movie, though my budgets a bit cut and watching new releases in australia costs like $17 per movie :/

    Great movie IMO

    Any movie with Leonardo is amazing, he's a great actor.

    There wasn't much hip hop I don't now what you guys are complaining about, and what there was I thought it fit in nicely.
