Need a breakdown on RWTing

So I'm thinking about getting into selling rsgp next year as a way to make some money while in University. My account however, is something I do not want to lose and so I want to learn the odds of being banned for rwting and how to prevent it from happening.

I've seen some people saying they have been selling rsgp for years from the same account and have never been banned so I'm hoping you guys can give me some good insight.

I'm looking for just a basic lesson on the best ways to RWT.

Do you just trade the massive amounts of gp to the person? or use other methods to avoid raising flags from Jagex?

 

A ban for RWT is very rare.
And I have not seen a single one since FT has been re-released.
You should be fine just trading it over.

 

so even if you are regularily trading amounts in excess of 100m or even 500m+ to an account for nothing in return, Jagex just assumes it is a gift?

 

Yah haven't heard of a single acc getting banned since FT back. A method I thought of that I know was used in 07' or w/e was staking. Stake the person the cash and let them beat you.. That would work and be impossible to detect imo. Both acc's would have to be members though.

 

I have also never heard of anyone being bad since free trade ahs been brought back into rs. Should be fine.

 

alright, so sounds like Jagex doesnt crack down on it that much... I was thinking maybe people used like alternate accounts but I guess people just trade large amounts of gp from their mains almost daily and don't get caught?

 

Don't worry about getting banned for RWT. Like ChristmasCracker said, it's very rare. However, if you're still concerned, there are plenty of different ways to trade cash/items and make it seem legit. For example, one popular method is to go to the duel arena and stake the trade. Another way is to have like a drop party for the transaction. Anyways, you should be fine.

 

Well, for starters you would be gold farming from MULTIPLE accounts at once, as it stands to reason if you were to just make money on ONE account to sell, it would not bring in the kind of income anyone would desire.

Then, I guess you have the option of selling via a mule/multiple mules, an inactive gold farming account, or an active gold farming account (bad idea lol).

The actual money transfer I don't see as being a big deal, so much money changes hands in dice games, etc. that it shouldn't really shout anything to Jagex.

Tl;dr Make money on "throw away accounts" or "botting accounts you dont care about", trade money/botted items frequently to "mules" or "throw away accounts that just hold stuff", then sell from either those "mules" or sell from a straight-up selling account.

 

Sillymonkey, I'm not looking to turn out massive amounts of money, I don't bot and never will so I don't plan on making excess accounts for those purposes. I'll most likely just sell gp I make through staking as well as boss hunting and merching

 

Make a mules to do xfers from, leave one at GE , one at lumby bank inside the castle.

 

If you're not going to bot, then you might as well get a job. With current gold prices ( 50-70 cents /m ) you would have to make 10m-15m / hr to equate to minimum wage. So, If you are seriously looking at making money for college, just get a job or bot.

I did go into a GP trade once with a guy, He used a duel boxing method, where he bet all the GP I paid for, and I won the money via Duel Arena. So if you are worried about 'raising the flag with Jagex', then simply do the duel method

 

This is seriously how I think about money making now.

Why would I spend time slaving on RS making GP when I can work an hour and buy like 50M?

Anything under gold farming with multiple bots is pointless, unless you are looking to profit while training. Even then, you are gonna get nothing to sell anyways.

My other account that got hacked, got a mark for RWT, but guess it was because he shouted out "Selling this account!"

 

It's rare to hear anyones account banned for RWT.

If can't make a good living off RWTing unless you've got a decent sized armada of bots running at once.

Jagex dont care anymore i beleive. They also took out the report for RWT option from report abuse options.

I've personally sold 41b+ of one single account, yet to be banned.

And to Sillymonkey once again, I'm not trying to make money to pay for college, I just want a small source of income while I'm in university so that I dont have to have a part time job throughout the school year. In the summer I work full time but the money I make there will go mostly towards tuition and rent. But from staking and such, the money I make on rs would be a nice couple hundred dollars a week income with not a whole lot of time or effort

 

All they need is a little bit of speech and they'll go away.
For example. Just say "free 200m! First trade gets it!"
It's as simple as that to cover your ass.
