Regarding Jagex and viewing these forums

    Hello Sythe.

Well , my understanding is that jagex cannot view these forums.
Based on this understanding (assuming its true - please correct me if its not)

Could moderators possibly add to a sticky in the market that they can't view these forums?

Because you look at threads of people who have left there RSN in the picture and the thread is littered with people getting post count saying "Remove your User name , you will get banned etc"

It just clutters sale threads up.

Edit: After viewing the first comment , I though this should be added:

Even if Jagex can view the forums , they cannot ban you for a picture showing a RSN. The picture could be off google for all they know...

    *Note

This is all based on my assumption that jagex cannot view these forums , which is what I've heard.

I'm sure they've figured out a way to view them...

Also, maybe a fag reports the account to Jagex if it doesn't have its username censored.

I think people should still censor the username, IP, etc., just for safety.

I think IP yes , But username no - I could have gotten a picture off google , then said selling this account with name un covered.

They cannot ban you for it....

You can never be too safe. And people removing their RS names doesn't annoy me, so no support.

I doubt Jagex would really care tbh, but yes I seen a thread a few hours ago were 6 People had said almost the same thing because the person had there RSN on the thread. I Support that Pointing Out The obviouse Should be classed as spam or somthing like that.

I never said it annoyed me. Please read the thread properly before posting.

My point is that people spam on the thread "Remove RSN" to get post count up when all it does it clutter the thread...

Yes, saying that is spam I believe. Which should be reported , as I do so.
But even then people carry on doing it sometimes its even the same people.

I never said it did annoy you. But because it doesn't annoy me, it isn't needed in my opinion.

I doubt it is to get their post count up. What is bad about people trying to help each other? When it becomes flaming, then yes, I would support pointing out it isn't needed.

Jagex won't come here and ban you, they wouldn't waste their time and they can't from Jagex HQ. However, a power hungry player moderator could DEFINITELY report you for RWT, so those people are merely trying to help, and their "spam" is justified and helpful to the OP.

    No support.

    This ^.

Plus, a thread telling users to not be cautious would be counter-productive.

Deal with the spam, that's what mods are there for >.>.

With all of their so called "tools" and gadgets Jagex uses to supposedly "catch" someone RWT'ing, I doubt that'd have to look on a forum to know anyway.

Terms and Conditions can prevent them from accessing a website in a legal manner, but truthfully, there is no agency to audit them and prevent them from doing this, so it doesn't really matter. As far as what they can and can't ban off of, they can do whatever the fuck they want. They -could- ban everyone tomorrow.

Even though they shouldn't, they probably do surf the forums - or get a non J staff member to.
If they were to ban you, they could put account selling but you will not get to see where the information came from.

I would just be careful when selling & block out all information that could lead to a ban of your account.
