New Glitch=Ban?

Ok so for those of you who may or may not know, there was a glitch that was able to duplicate one dragon bolt into 12 dragon bolts (e). This has been going on for a couple of days until Jagex patched it today. I have already talked to some people who have used this glitch and some had made over 300m in a single day! However, I only heard of this method last night and was able to give it one try for only about 20 bolts which I converted into about 240 enchanted bolts. Im not necessarily worried that the method got patched.. im just worried that this glitch had a high bann risk and am worried about my account getting banned. How can I reduce the chances of being banned? or what are the possibilities? I have only used it once.

no risks, just got patched, they can't ban people for there problems/glitches.

how do i know? i did 10m to 150m to 350m and still not banned.

 

Maybe if the glitch was used abusively, like the one at barbarian assault, they will simply check the log for dragon bolt that were created in a really speedy amount of time.

 

the glitch was indeed used abusively... I know this one kid who got 700m in a day because he abused it nonstop.....

man too bad it already got patched.. now I know for sure that if its too good to be true then it is too good to be true.

 

Honestly i think there is a pretty high ban rate for abusing glitches...

Off topic: how did you turn 1 dragon bolt into 12(e)? Do you just enchant it?

 

you "make all" an inventory of opal and then right away click on the level 4 enchant spell and select dragon bolts (like 7,500gp each).. this converted one dragon bolt into 12 dragon bolts (e)-each one around the same price as d bolt... you can pretty much dupe money with a method like this.
But since what Im really concerned about is being banned... id like to know about it more. would it be a permanent ban? wat do you think are the chances of me being banned (i only did it once)?

 

They banned people for abusing the Turkey glitch for like 9x exp on Thanksgiving. You have a risk of getting banned. You abused the glitch. You knew it was a glitch and used it. Its your risk. You will probably lose your account over it.

 

hmm for those of us who did it, lets all hope it dont happen.....

 

If your lucky id say a temporary ban but ive seen some posts of people who were doing things far less bad(for lack of a better world) and still get a permanent ban... But idk im not jagex i dont know how they work so i guess just hope for the best...

 

As stated in the rules, and posts by the Mods, you can only get banned for "Bug Abusing" you didn't "abuse" the bug. Jagex can't see your computer screen so they could probably assume you "stumbled" upon it. They aren't going to ban people who did it once or twice (in your case once) because they have no proof you didn't accidentally activate it.

 

Please click the report button when you log onto the game.
Type in any random name.
Look at the bottom option in the first column.
They do not accept Exploiting a bug obviously in the game.
If they can figure out who exploited the bug.
You will lose your account.

To find out who did the bug they will most likely check GE logs and ban everyone who output a larger input.
Let's say you bought enough supplies to enchant 100 bolts.
5 hours later you sell 1,200 bolts.
Looks suspicious? Well, You obviously abused the bug in my point of view.

 

yes ban can indeed happen but it also may not. some will be lucky and some wont be.

BTW.. to "I AM RWT"... I only have 168 dragon bolts enchanted and I have not sold that on ge yet.. so they would have the record of me purchasing about 10 d bolts.. but they wouldnt have a record of me selling 168 of them on ge.. u kno wat i mean?

 

Please tell me one bug that was abused the affected the Economy of the game or gave you tons of experience extremely fast that did not result in banning?

 

to be honest i cant tell u a bug that was exempt from that. i only made a response to your comment about how Jagex would check the ge log to find bug abusers.. im not saying everyone is safe from abusing the glitch because I know people could still get banned.

 

I'd wait to sell them if you are not banned, if people are banned.

 

I made over 200m of them, and im still not banned

 

And alot of my friends did it, none of them are banned so far. I looked them all up on the highscores just now.

 

Oh my god! I wish I knew about this. :-(

 

I made 650M between two accounts and I'm doing alright.
