    Sup.

So lately my parents yell at my because my grades aren't the best they could be. (Failing only one class) but I have like a bazillion missing assignments. I just don't do homework. I literally hate my teachers to death and I just have a crappy life overall.

Any decent thoughts on what I should do?
Don't say "Just do your homework then".

It's not that, they don't understand and they won't. They rage at me for having bad grades, and my Dad is bi-polar so I can't say two words without getting him pissed off.

Is the reason why you don't do your homework because you hate your teachers?

That, and the fact that I'm plain out lazy.

It's tough times right now my friend. What grade are you in? because I'm going to tell you now, if you don't think things through clearly, your future will go down the drain. It's almost impossible right now to get a job without a college degree. Getting to college starts in high school, and if you're not doing good at the foundation, things will only get worse later on.

It's really all a matter of having a sense of urgency. Just think to yourself that if you don't do your homework, your life is pretty much over.

I'm sorry if you find what I have to say annoying, but I just want people that are still in high school to not go through what I'm going through right now in the future.

Is homework a big part of your grade?

I agree whole-heartedly with "I Only Sell". Think of the next couple years as a temporary arrangement. Your objective is to get good grades and to get average/above average grades. You DO need to build a good base, or else your tower is going to collapse as you built on top of it. I know this may be a generic response, but if you are the kind of student that doesn't understand concepts very well the first time, you will need to study. Studying sounds like such a shitty word, because it often involves shitty work. But if you can make studying, dare I say, "fun", or at least manageable, then it'll work out for you in the end. I typically listen to radio or internet radio that specialize in remixes, music has been proven to stimulate one's mind. Anyways, from where I reside, if you don't have 75+, you're FUCKED. But, if your grades are below this, no need to fret. The best thing you can do at the moment of reading this post is telling yourself that you will start doing better, and commit to it. Less time on the computer/xbox/tv/whatever. As for your parents/teachers, don't let OTHER PEOPLE influence YOUR FUTURE. Many successful people have come from very rough situations. And when you get home, planify a reasonable time to do your homework, and COMMIT. When you see that clock strike 5pm/6pm, don't THINK. Just open that goddamn book and get into it.

    Recap :

    Don't fail ANY classes.
Aim for 80+, you will get somewhere near that if you commit to this goal.
Don't let others dictate your future.
Do your homework. There will be many forms of homework outside of schooling.

Hope I helped. GL and HF.

dude all i can tell you is to suck it up and power through school. It will help you a lot in the future. I slacked off the first 2 years of high school and I regret it dearly. I worked my ass off these past two years to get into a good college. Don't make the same mistakes I did, you still have time to change. Just shape up and think about how much better you future will be. If you really need help, get someone in real life to motivate you. It took my dad twice to kick me out of the house to realize how far behind I was.

I was in the same boat as you in high school. I never did anything outside of class but smoke pot. I still did OK with grades because I'm good at taking tests but now I'm in college and my old habits are killing me. I'm failing 2 of my 5 classes and at risk of losing my federal student aid. Convince yourself that it's worth it in the long run to do a bit of work now for no reason other than to build good habits.

I was the same way and my parents always yelled at me. Now I am struggling in college because of my bad high school habits. Don't let this happen to you. Trust me its not fun.

What grade are you in? The reason your parents yell at you is because they care for you and dont want to be a failure in life. I hate to say this but you have to do your homework. Doing your homework will get you better grades thus your parents yelling at you less. Belive me asking for help and doing your homework will greatly improve your grades. You choose to be lazy, you can stop being lazy. I force myself in school to do my homework/projects because i want to be a sucess in life and your parents only yell at you because they dont want you to be a failure, and they want you to be a success in life and care for you, so if you get better grades they will be more proud of you and yell at you less.

Just do your homework and ask for help from your teachers and go to tutorials...or somethin. You will find it helps alot.

Seriously just do your homework then.. what else do you want us to tell you?

Why don't you like your teachers? If they suck at teaching tell someone about it. However if you just don't like their personality in general get over it. Don't let them stand in your way of getting a good education.. you're using them as an excuse not to succeed in life.

It makes sense for your parents to be mad about you failing a class because of assignments that weren't handed in.
