New Smoking Ban in NYC: No Smoking Outside!

I can understand where these people are comming from, yeah fair enough non-smokers don't want to be around the second hand smoke which is completly fine, but outruling it all together is totally stupid, why don't they just ban smoking all together clearly its what they are trying to do. I'm a frequent smoker and its my choice to smoke, its not like I purposely walk into a public place just so I can light up, I don't really know what else to say, its peoples choice to smoke and its completely up to them. I'm sure 90% of smokers do the right thing and smoke in smoking areas or away from others and children. Whats next really...

 

Next up is the personal home with children, and then just the home altogether; considering New Yorkers already can't smoke in bars, restaurants or stores of any sort.

 

Complete bullshit.

I'm tired of people of complaining about the big bad "2nd hand smoking," and smoking in general. It shocks me how the media makes 2nd hand smoking sound so terrible. In in order to 2nd hand smoke effectively you literally have to be in a hot boxed room, or have smoke blown in your face, and you have to inhale it.

"Smoking is bad for you." Yeah, it's bad for ME, I made the choice to smoke and I know the consequences, so hop off me.

"I don't like the way it smells." Well I don't like the smell of your BO, but I'm complaining about it am I?
