Why do you think Harry Potter is better than Twilight (and vice-versa)

I love harry potter and i'm only just beginning to read twilight, but it is better than i expected it to be, particularly because my friends are all teling me how twilight corrupts the mind. what do you guys think?

 

I cannot stand twilight, from the sparkly men to the hairy wolfs.

The Harry Potter series for me, is really well put together and has an extremely interesting story line. J.K Rowling is easily one of the best writers of the century.

 

Im with you man, don't like twilight movies too.

 

I think they're both lame.

 

I'd rather watch harry potter over twilight, but you wouldn't catch me watching neither.

 

I do like the Harry Potter story line, but personally if we're talking about just story lines, I really love True Blood. I realize this is a TV show and may not fall in the category, but the story line is really sick, and always changing.

 

Not very into the whole mythical type movies, so I believe they both aren't very good.

Well Twilight basically turned vampires into gigantic walking vaginas. That and the whole plot is based around a teenage love story. A cheesy love story, at that. I've never read the books but if they're written half as bad as the movies are acted then I can easily see how I would probably burn the books halfway through them.

Harry Potter has an enveloping story that spans the entire childhood of the main characters. It's not based around love, although there is a lot of love in it. The fact that the author set so many things up in just the first couple of books that would happen later on in the 5th, 6th, and 7th books is just amazing. How anyone could plan a series that far out is really beyond me. The author makes you care about the characters without over sexualizing them like the author of Twilight does.

 

Not much into the wolf and the love stories in Twilight, but Harry Potter is very interesting and I love the story line.

 

I have never seen or read any Harry Potter or Twilight and don't care to. I would assume Harry Potter is much better though considering Twilight is just lame.

 

I think Harry Potter was good when it first came out, but then ended up being whack after like the 4th or 5th movie, Twilight is just hands down, not good at all and predictable.

 

Harry Potter is way different than Twilight, you can't even compare them.
Really though I would choose Harry Potter any day no matter what. It's just original and fantasy like no other. Plus you just love all the characters no matter if their evil or stupid.

 

I think twilight is worse than harry potter, at least I can watch harry potter and not be bored.
