Something i made for Kinaesthic

Just figured i'd post this and get some critique on it, it took me a little over an hour to draw up and just make sure all of the letters flowed etc.

i used to be an avid drawer and stopped for quite some time, but REALLY want to get back into the whole drawing/graphics side of things, and might be going into college for that so, leave me some feedback on what you think

If anyone has spare time and wants to do work to it (GFX it) and post what it would look like all fancy that would be awesome

 

Looks alright, can't believe it took you an hour to do that. I'd expect something alot more. It's just a little simple & basic. Not sure if that was your intention

 

Looks good but 1 hr is a lot of time for just that.

Work more on the inside of the A, the gap between E and S and on I and C. Everything else looks nice.

 

Yeah i think saying an hour was a little "exaggerated" maybe a half hour but still it was the 1st time i had really sat down and drew something in years so, my hand was kinda shaky and i wanted it to look as clean as possible

It looks alright but there are some points where it doesn't flow properly. For example where the top right of the S meets the T it is spiked whereas the T is curved, it doesn't match. Also some of the curves in the joints need to be worked on and what-not. I don't see too many lighter sketching lines. That's the thing with sketching, never use an eraser. Do your concept work in lighter pencil, maybe like 4B pencil and then once you are happy with it do the outline with a 6/8B. If you want I could help with translating that design to photoshop as that's what I did with my previous sig with the unique Jack.

Yeah i was just using a No.2 Pencil just kinda impulse drawing something up because i was in the mood to draw for some reason, so im sure the more i draw the more those kind of mistakes would stick out to me, but i'm definatly going to need to purchase some drawing materials as i really would like to get into making hand drawn designs/logos/signatures etc. for sythe or any community in general.

 

If you're only going to be sketching just get a range of B grade pencils. H pencils are for construction drawing and therefore aren't needed.

 

For now that's all i'm going to do, but i think it would be cool to get a sketch pad, and start to learn some PS and "Graphic-ize" my drawings. That would be my long term goal is to get to the point where i can do GFX for people, and websites etc.

 

Well I mean if its put into Photoshop and worked hard on it can look purty ^^

 

Would be great if you make one in Photoshop aswell.

 

Sadly i don't know how to use PS but I really want this made by anyone honestly just to see how well i did, but it's hard enough to talk to him let alone have him gfx something like that at the moment.

I'm going to try and draw up MoonGlare next, just trying to figure out a txt style to draw it in :S

Looks like Knaeshic, but still some cool letters. Nice job and keep it up! Make sure you post the end result if you decide to make a digital piece out of this.

Not bad, but as others have said it doesn't flow smoothly at some points, but I think what you have done with the 'h' and the base of the 'T' is very creative.

So if i wanted to actually make this in photo-shop how hard is it to start learning to play around with some stuff on it?
