Sticky or an announcement

Basically theres this new "scam" around..

Recently Jagex released the option to "buy" spins of the squeal of fortune.

There is many ways to buy them, including paypal, SMS, and Credit/debit card.
You may wonder why I highlighted Credit card.. Basically, when you buy membership using a debit/credit card, it says all of the information. When you go to buy squeal of fortune spins, using a credit card, that information will automatically be there, and you can just click continue.

If somebody is skilling on your account, without your bank pin, they can empty your whole bank account on spins.


I suggest that there be stickies put up in the Skilling section, the firecape section and the questing section making users aware of this.

Is this really any different to just buying 12 months of membership on someones account if you're training it? Nobody ever seemed to care about that. The best tradeable thing you can win from that is 10mil, and I don't see that as a viable thing to steal by an even slightly trusted trainer.

It'd be pretty easy to call your credit card company and reverse the payments. They'd notice that the ip used to make the payment didn't match yours and you'd get the money back. I would support but I see I'm a little late to the party and it's already been made an announcement

 

I support having a quick announcement made, but this kind of thing just needs to be PMed to a global or admin to be handled.

 

Yeah, and I'm saying the same could be achieved with just buying membership. Which people could have been doing for ages.

 

I think once you buy 30 or 60 days it won't let yo buy anymore membership, don't qoute me on that though.

 

I'm fairly sure you can buy 12 months membership in one go.
