Hey guys read my dream :d

Well im brazilian( l0l at my english ik but i've learned it without school l0l) well my dream is be a famous Dj Like tiesto, my life is basic gym+wave partys+ eletronic music+trance+vodka.

If i pay some Dj school ill dedicate myself at max because i love it, but u guys think nowdays i can survive with Dj job?

Well i want to leave dad's house, next year ill get paid like 630u$d/month if i work 8hours or 312u$d/month if i work only 4, well i really wanna leave dads house , im turning 18 at 11 july 2012 xD only one year and half left!!!!!!!!!!

Well u guys think i can buy food/pay gym/pay 50% of university(dad's helping )/pay my own house every month with like 630u$d/month?If rest me some money ill pay the dj's school or ill wait till i have stable life without dads.

I think you will need a lot more money for all of that. That money will probably get you the house.. and that's about it.

Where's the money for your equipment coming from? You need some serious shit if you expect to be doing work. People don't wanna pay for a basement stereo system. Support tho

i would say do it as a hobby but always have something to fall back on
you cant retire on money made from DJing
you make less and less money as you grow older because who rly wants to listen to an ancient DJ
there is no job security with DJing
pay is correlated with popularity which fluxuates rapidly

I am studying psychology and even I am taking computer courses so i have something to fall back on.

 

I've always wanted to become a DJ too and probably will somewhere down the road, hopefully Best of luck nevertheless.

 

i suggest not going down that road............ However nothings impossible. Just make sure its not your main goal x.x but rather a side-job.

I don't think you'd make enough for everything but you could probably get the house.
Have you thought about staying with your dad while going to the university?
Being a DJ would be so fun, man...

Do it up man! You're just gunna need to get yourself a nice setup and maybe some ProTools and preamps to get yourself rollin

 

Being a DJ is really fun and can actually make you good cash if you get a reputation for being good. If money ever gets tight, it's not like you can't apply and quickly get a job at McDonalds or something.
