Some Feedback on my first 2 goes at Photoshop!

Hey guys,

I recently decided to use my old Photoshop CS4 program I had lying around.

These 2 pictures are my first and second attempt at using this program, and I tried to keep it basic, only including a rendered cloud background with some brush effects and text with some blending effects.

If anyone could also please direct me to tutorials, as to how you can make sort of swirly line effects, and how to make a really neat looking border that would be swell!

You should use a font that is clear to read,
other than that nice.

 

Any suggestions?
I think I used the font 'Pristinia', and there were 1000,s of fonts too choose from, but most of them were just ugly.

I liked the layout itself a lot. Although, I agree about it being hard to read, but only in the "Why you should use me" section.

I think if you double spaced each word, or picked a different colour, it'd make it much easier to read.
