    Parentis Locus.

Ok, well, I first heard about this when I was reading one of the Series of Unfortunate Event books. It was told in the story that the children could not get away from their abusive adoptive relative because he had parentis locus that could give him the power to do anything he wants to the children. I was also wondering how the Child Abusive laws played a role in this Parentis Locus.

I found this on google. http://www.answers.com/topic/in-loco-parentis

I don't think parents should be allowed to abuse their children in any way no matter if its physical or mental, or if its embarrassment in the real world.

Edit : The definition of parentis locus is "In the position or place of a parent."

Also, I thought mods/admins had to accept the thread before it's posted. I guess not anymore. Sorry if this is not considered good enough material for this forum, I just thought that if it wasn't a mod or admin would message me or just deny it.

    No, its loco parentis.

So what are you arguing here, that its good or bad? Because you talk about child abuse at the end of your post, and not loco parentis.
