How did you find out about the game? Friend? Advertisement? Google?
How old were you when you started playing, how long have you played for?
What's your best memory? When did you first get scammed? What was your first PK experience?

For me I started in 2005, I was like 13. I've been playing since, on and off, botting and not botting
some accounts banned, some not but now I haven't botted in years. I've never really had a favorite
memory, but I have been through alot of shit with this game with people! I remember my first
time falling for a scam was a 2M trade moved down to 20k and I didn't notice until after. It really
sucked, lmao. One time I went to fight someone in the wilderness, and I was getting Ice Barraged
and me and my friend could not figure out what spell it was, we thought it was Entangle.

Oh it's been quite the life on RS

 

Friend told me about it who found it on miniclip. He started the hype at my school, and got most of us addicted haha

 

My neighbor made me an account one letter off his name and we played constantly from about 2004-2011 and he died off playing around dungeoneering release I’ve played on and off for a longgg time now and it’s easy my favorite game really getting into it now again on monile

 

I found out about Runescape through one of the mini-game websites when I was a kid. I think it was coffee break arcade? one of them..

I started playing in 2003 when I was 13 and at the time it was RS1 or RSC as it's commonly called. I've played on and off since then but took a long break when EoC came out. I quit and came back for OSRS. My best memory for sure is staking D-med helms, party hats, masks, eggs, crackers, etc in Draynor Village before the duel arena was even thought of. For those that don't know, D-med helms were the shit in RSC. I don't remember being scammed though I probably was at some point though.

As the game grew more I was a bit of a scumbag myself. I would sit in Varrock Square and type "Runescape wont let you say your password look ******* try it!". People actually did it!. I got my friend Steve in on it and we would LAN Runescape at his house and do it all night. I had a second browser open and waiting on the website login screen to change their password. If I had to guess realistically I would say I gained access to over 300 accounts doing this. I did it for months at a time and just waited until they logged off and hopped on. A lot of them had nothing great but a few of them had phat sets and mask sets and such. I was 14 at that time and it was just a rush when you saw that account management screen after successful login.

Shortly after that I found a website (no longer around) called hackyour.info. It was a website for Runescape and Warez. I was known on the site as "Drummer" and was very active in the community and eventually became a mod. Because of this I had access to some of the newly created bots and decided to give them a try. Holy shit it was a whole new addiction in itself. To this day I cannot find any more satisfaction then I did by running 2 bots overnight and waking up in the morning to go downstairs and see what they did/got for me while I was asleep. I used a lot of the gold that I made to stake of course.

My fondest memories of PKing were with my friend Steve. We would usually hang out around the Dark Warrior's Fortress and we weren't very good so we didn't kill much but when we did, it was another rush seeing that loot pile on the ground with those sweet Rune 2Hs sitting on top glistening in the fake lighting. When we were bored we would create new characters and train up mage until we were level 12 or so and go have fun blasting people with spells in low level wildy. We would do the same for ranged too but I think low level mage PKing was our favourite.

Looping back a bit here, we were kids with no money and we couldn't pay for members. Luckily my friend Steve was also quite a scumbag. Back when you could pay for members with a phone line (you would call and request a pin and they would bill your phone provider which would bill you) he would go to random places like his school/a friend's house phone and get us members like that. Our accounts surprisingly never were banned because of that but we were ok with it and it didn't even cross our mind as a possibility back then.

Steve and I were fairly savage to each other in Runescape. We would sleep over at each other's house and before we would get to the other's place we would install what was called back then "Family Keylogger" and steal the other's RS password to take the goods. We would usually end up giving it back though it was just something we did as dumb kids. We did do it to other friends of ours that played and split the stuff but we were little shits.

I for sure when through the phase in the beginning where I had no idea what to do and how to make money. Through watching/talking to others and using the shitty search engines we had back then (Ask Jeeves comes to mind) I eventually learned the ropes and got to the stuff I talked about above.

I can't think of any other game that has held my attention as long as Runescape over the years. It's just the perfect game to pick up and go at any time or drop any time. This game is and will always be, my all time favourite. There are a lot more stories I could share but this post has gone on long enough already. I didn't proofread this so sorry for any mistakes!
