Soapbox

Just messing around, entered in an SOTW elsewhere (the theme was soap.... I didn't feel like spending valuable time trying to spruce up a stock of a bar of soap, so I interpreted it as soapbox racing.)

 

Flow's nice, focal's a little fucked, though I don't understand the lighting at all, it's all over the place, with no definite lighting point.

C4d's are too sharp for my liking, and depth is very cliche (with very blurred and very sharp areas).

Finally, i really don't like your border for some reason, when one side's bordered, the other side should be open, as in to let it flow somehow.

It's hard to explain, just the uneven bordering doesn't appeal to me, otherwise well done

Keep it up though.

 

I don't think the focal should be blurred. It would look better without it imo. The colors need more pizzazz into them.. Maybe a gradient with two colors that would flow well, such as blue and yellow.

Thanks so much for the comments and criticism you guys, I've been doing this for like 2 years and getting a little discouraged because people who started with me are already like... well like you, Tribal:/ I've got terrible habits that make my signatures not so special;]

If anyone made any tutorials that would be helpful, I want to take a look at them.. but I'm not sure what I need to learn, I'm just sucking all around haha

By anyway, yeah, I messed up terribly on the blurring, I went way overboard and didn't notice it until I was finished.

 

Random effects > Chaotic

 

So is mine chaotic or just full of random effects...?

 

Filled with random effects. Like 1 c4d looks a bit color burned, and yet the other linear dodged.
