World War 3: North Korea vs The US

I've found an interesting Facebook page about the possible World War 3 (nuclear fight between NK and the US)

meh it wouldn't be a very long war. NK would get wiped out, China is the one to look out for.

The makers of this facebook page are idiots. If the US and North Korea goes to war, it'll likely be South Korea and USA vs North Korea. Meaning it's not a world war, as the definition of "World War" is a war with many nations as its combatants.

If China and Russia enter the war, then it's likely European counties will as well. THEN it'd be a world war, but since it's exceptionally unlikely that Hu Jintao will side with anyone, I doubt China will enter any war, should one start

As for Russia... lolno. The Soviet Union is dissolved, and Vladimir Putin is not hostile towards the US

If china backs up nk , russia might come in for china. Then that shit could get bit scary. But As much as i hate the us, thier military is fucking insane. They can fight the entire world at the same time and come out on top.

 

NK has absolutely no allies. Just because NK is on friendlier terms with China than most countries doesn't mean that they're going to back them if shit hits the fan.

 

I really don't see a WW3 conflict erupting out of these threats.

 

North Korea are making empty threats so Kim Jong Un can demonstrate his power to his people. What they probably want is to have stability and peace. The USA know this, that's why they are not making any pre-emptive strikes or provocations.

It's the media who are making a big deal out of this and making the situation seem like it's gonna be ww3.

I doubt China will get involved even though they have unofficially back North Korea.

Also... They won't go to war if they're smart. The US and the UK have the strongest military forces and they're allied with too many people.
If the US go to war then the UK will join them.
If nukes are used, then they become a massive threat to every country they have ever quarrelled with. So then all of those countries will destroy them. As they won't want to be nuked.

 

If North Korea were to nuke us, which I'm a firm believer that they won't do that anytime soon (maybe in my lifetime), we would be incapable to nuke back. We could go by foot and by sea and those likes. The thing with nuclear weapons is that if we and our allies, such as Japan and South Korea, decided to nuke North Korea back, the radiation would spread to both of our allies, killing many innocent people. Knowing so, Japan and South Korea wouldn't do that.

On terms of World War 3, as Moh stated: a world war is a war with many nations as its combatants. He made a good point. Maybe a war at one point would happen with North Korea, but not a world war and much less a nuclear one. Plus, the entire world pretty much hates and is making fun of Kim Jong-un; North Korea would get destroyed.

 

North Korea does not have the capability of nuking the continental US, their farthest reaching warhead could only make it as far as Hawaii. AND one nuke, or even 5 nukes would not destroy our capability to send one back. AND if a nuclear warhead were fired at us, Guam, Hawaii, or South Korea as NK threatened, it would be shot down by our Anti-Missile defense systems. Not only that, but we'd know the INSTANT it was fired, but you can bet your silly livered ass the US would have a nuclear warhead in the air before North Korea's warhead even gets shot down by our defense system

I don't think we'd immediately send back a nuclear warhead, especially considering the collateral damage it'd cause.
