Need help!

Hi guys, I've just been wondering, how do big gold sellers get to sell their GP without worrying about any PayPal chargebacks?

I really want to open a gold shop but I'm just worried about chargebacks that could fuck me up.

Is there any way I could avoid those without having to open a website?

And also, is it suggested that I take the risk by just asking for ID and make sure it matches PayPal name?

Chargebacks are always a risk, but generally the majority of trades will be legit and will off-set the potential risk of chargebacks.

For very large sales, asking for ID could potentially deter scammers and aid in fighting a chargeback

 

So basically, if I have the ID of the buyer, I can show it to PayPal in case he attempts to charge back?

But couldn't he just use a vpn and just claim he was hacked?

 

They worry about PayPal chargebacks, but they all have their own system of defending against chargebacks. Most have sites which kind of helps out if someone decides to chargeback.

You're exactly right with the ID, it doesn't stop chargebacks, but it provides info of the person and that can be used in a chargeback case.

You can use other methods of payment too. Skrill, BTC, etc.

Don't sell to users you don't trust, until you get a good system going.

 

Would it be possible for me to open a small website, not like a big website that would cost too much, just a simple site to check out from?
I mean if I were to get a good anti-fraud system that could gather me information about the buyer, like if he is under VPN or something.
Because I think it would be safe enough if he wasn't under a VPN and showed me his ID.
That would prove that he's the owner of the PayPal account and that PayPal won't look through his chargeback if he tried disputing with the same IP address from the one he sent the money.
