How does one raise money or find assistance to bury loved one

I'm the only kid left my dad had, and I don't have very much family that talks to me anymore, and just this past Christmas Eve my dad actually passed away from heart failure. I'm only 26 and have never had to deal with this on my own, nor do I have the money to do a proper burial. So I was wondering if anyone on here has anything advice or places I might be able to go to get assistance. A lot of people said start a gofundme but I honestly hate asking for money in general and would feel like a piece of shit. But I'm literally alone now with just my cousin and her mom.

Please only kind comments or suggestions, it's already been a rough couple days as it is.

A GoFundMe page is actually probably your best bet. People who do this tend to post pictures of person, tell a story, and some
people will donate. Alternatively, I don't want my parents to be buried I want them to be turned into ashes so I can spread some
of them and keep some of them. Alot of people who don't have alot of money will go this way because it doesn't cost $1000's.

    Sorry for your loss :'(
