How should I get back into OSRS?

I played way back on and off 2004 til whenever EoC ruined it all.

But now I want to get back into OSRS with a main and am trying to figure out the best way to get a piety main for pking without spending all the time building the account. I just want to play the game I'm so nostalgic for without having to spend hundreds of hours just to get there. I mean just being able to pk with Dharoks and veng is like 100+ hours at least -_-

I see that botting has a huge likelihood of getting bans now even using RiD or AHKs. I've also read that of course buying accounts is a huge risk for it eventually getting recovered and you losing all your progress. The same happening with bans for even buying gold or using leveling services.

Basically between buying an account, botting an account, or paying for leveling on an account, what's my best option to not get banned on a piety main while only having 5-10 hours a week to game?

 

A trainer is a leveling/quest service right? Is there a chance of getting a final permanent ban after that? I really like the idea of having the original recovery information and everything, easier to spend more knowing it'll definitely last.

I'd like to purchase an account; really seems much easier. But I've just read so many horror stories on trustpilot and reddit! I almost bought an acc earlier today off Playerauctions before checking trustpilot and their reddit reviews weren't too great regarding their insurance although I realize it's a tough situation for them. It actually seems somewhere like here or on reddit would've been the best, letting a few rough screenshots and comments really damage someone's sales.

Depends how eager you are to get back into it. Purchasing a main would obviously be the quickest route back into the game.

 

If I were you I would just buy an account. I would buy from an extremely trusted seller on here and/or I would buy from a site/user that offers insurance for accounts. For example, chicks sells accounts and offers these options.

• 6 Month Insurance: 15% Charge Rate
• 12 Month Insurance: 25% Charge Rate
• Lifetime Insurance: 40% Charge Rate

In the event the account is unplayable, he will offer a full refund back to you. @Chicks

My advice to you is to buy an account with just the combat stats you need and the required quests completed. I wouldn't waste my time buying a full maxed account or any account that has tons and tons of hours put into it because you'll never know when the owner will want their account back. I feel like accounts that don't have much are easily forgotten. I would buy an account with the bare minimum that is needed for pking and then I would either do whatever else myself or hire someone to do that for me in my spare time.

 

Starting an ironman and following a guide is some of the most fun i had in the game in a long time.

Oziris ironman guide is a very good one.

 

Not to go against your um selection of options you have listed for us or anything.. but personally the best way, especially if you haven't played in years is to make a fresh account all for yourself and put in the work! Don't make it work though, make it fun! Just enjoy your time playing and leveling up your account. You won't have to worry as much about being banned or anything ( you can always buy some gold down the road, I haven't had any issues with this) and it will feel so much more rewarding and you will appreciate your character that much more!

..or you know go ahead and buy an account and do the things you want in game and have the fun you're looking for.
