Any summ training tips?

Well im gathering charms while doing slayer but it feels like its going to take FOREVER to train my summ to about 60ish (16 now). Any tips on making it go faster?

 

There are several places that give a faster rate of charms than just by doing Slayer, although that is a good method. The two best places for gaining crimson charms are waterfiends and bursting rock lobsters.

I recommend you read Tii's Guide to 99 Summoning, found here. It contains information on how you should use the charms for the best experience, as well as links to other guides which tell you how to get crimson charms from the two monsters above, waterfiends and rock lobsters.

Fibofallfibs gave good advice. I dont really like summoning or know much but I have always been told to use the crimsons on the higher levels.

 

The only charms I ever used that were not crimsons were the 240 gold ones that you receive from the Wolf Whistle quest. That guide outlines everything, but basically, crimsons are the best charm because they are a relatively common charm and the give the second best experience. The best experience is from blue charms, but those are quite uncommon.

 

Err i meant the blue ones.

 

To ease the pain of gathering charm's use alternate methods of training, I used every effigy I got and all my penguin points on Summoning and saved me both money and charms for future use. Hope this helped.

Charms are pretty slow. There are a few places that drop excess charms though. Bursting/barraging rock lobs would probably have the best charm rate/ph in the game. It is also the most expensive. Waterfiends are also a good alternative.

 

Don't kill stuff to train summoning. Train to train and think of the charms as a bonus.

That's why the slayer plan always works well.

 

if you have the cash go for bursting, it will make you get alot of mage levels and be amazing exp however from around 88 summon it cost me 40m just to gather the crims

if you want the chance to earn a nice ammount of cash with a decent ammount of crims abby demons I found are quite nice for this.

Kill things like waterfiends/ abby demons/ dust devils etc for good charm rates if you get tired of slayer

And playing Familiarization every week also helps out a lot since it gives you 3x charm drops for like 40mins. If you have the unlimited run pool unlocked you can get Familiarization done a lot faster.

 

Personally, i try to keep my mind off of summoning, that way by doing slayer, killing waterfiends, random other stuff, i randomly accumulate thousands, and cash in for big rewards. If you need gold for seconds you can always buy it off the rs marketplace.
