So many exit scammers, how do we proceed?

Hey guys my confidence in the market is really starting to waiver as both bmba and plankgang have exit scammed and been banned. Those were 2 people I trusted and have even done a good deal of business with... I haven't been scammed yet thankfully.

I guess only official mm can be trusted because these 2 were also mm for many people. I'll still be offering my services and products but it really puts things into perspective when you see a bunch of people who you've done business with and trusted go out scamming. I could have easily been scammed by these guys because often large donators expect newer/lesser people to go first, and that's what I did on my come up.

 

Unfortunately this is how things work sometimes.
Sometimes people get fed up and scam quit because of stress and shit, I don't know what else it could be.
It sucks, but that's why I don't trust anyone really.. except for super highly trusted members, but even then sometimes shady
things happen between people.

 

Follow the same safe trade practices you have been, and chalk it up as some people are cunts. People come and go, there is many traders out there that have stood the test of time and maybe is worth paying the extra to interact with.

In the end though its the internet, who can you really trust.

 

Do amounts that you are comfortable with. Trust almost noone.

There can't be many highly trusted users that do this as the amount of time it takes to gain trust is not worth sacrificing the account.

I know how you feel though, it's a cold world out there when you see highly trusted members scam.

 

It happens, learn from the experience of others. If it doesn’t feel right, back away. For big trades, use an MM even if its not convenient. Nobody will ever refuse an MM if they are a legit trader.

Be more careful. It’s extremely easy to let your guard down and become comfortable with someone, but you have to try to fight against that and practice safe trading at all times if you truly never want to be scammed. We can’t change a scammers nature or decisions so the best we can do is protect ourselves.

 

I'm sure it's from people who feel they no longer need to use the site, or perhaps that a one time huge profit will be more
worth it for them. That's how the brain works, it literally couldn't be more than those two things, unless you run into someone
who just has a problem with being malicious towards others, that happens too.

On the other hand, few poeple have the chance of having an IP they can change through their ISP (internet service provider)

And to top it off, we have threads like these: Shouldn't have to look that hard at vouches..

This thread shows us you can obtain enough trust, or seem to, in a small amount of time.
Karter99 was someone who did this and ended up scamming 100's of millions + services.
It's no doubt there are people who know what they are doing out there that know exactly how to manipulate this site, and people
who are on it.

All it takes is a month or two for a few hundred mill by the looks of it.
If you can change your IP and get away, more than worth it to heartless.. cold people.

 

It just kinda sucks that now I feel like we're in a place (or me personally) where I have to get an official mm to even do trades with $300+ donors. Cus even donors that high will scam for pretty little compared to tge actual worth of their services and stuff.

 

i feel like that's the risks when your involved in a black market type thing. but there's always loyal people too

 

Only this isn't a black market. It's a gray market. But I get your point and it is certainly valid. The people who are in this market are skirting and disregarding game rules, so it's a "small" step to fraud and theft I suppose.
