Dell XPS 15z - Should I buy it?

I am not too familiar with dell because I use HP for all my life. I do own a Dell business laptop but its an older model so I don't know how reliable it is.It was given for a gift by my uncle who didn't need the laptop. I want to know how reliable are their laptops when it comes to gaming machines. In the microsoft store, they have a laptop for $999.99 for a Dell XPS 15z. I've done a bit research and found that most people who bought the older ones are quite disappointed with the laptop for the most major issues such as heating problems etc. Any owners who had a XPS older model and newer models please tell me your feedback about this laptop. I own a $800 gift card to microsoft store and it'll cost me another $200 which that is covered by Chase $200 for opening a checking account.

Here are the specficiations of the laptop and I checked on ebay that they have the same exact model but with better graphics and more ram.

Dell from my experience is not all that great. Though if you do get the laptop if it gets hot get a cooling pad. I personally like asus for laptops.

 

Specs don't look that bad for a laptop. However if you choose to purchase a dell computer I'd strongly recommend their warranty program because they actually replace motherboards, hard drives, and screen issues for you. I've have purchase two dell laptops over the past 8 years.

But they had to replace a bunch of stuff on each laptop. If you are computer intense I'd strongly recommend it!

 

I remember that you refused to use a MM/OMM during an attempt of mine to buy a multi-spaced name off you. Quite ironical that you have this in your signature now.

On topic:
I personally have good experiences with Dell. For the specs, 1920x1080 @ 15.6" screen is really the perfect size. Anything smaller is just.. meh and anything bigger is too large. Well there isn't much to say about the processor, i7's are just always great. Graphics card, I would actually try to get a 555m, a friend of mine has that one in his laptop and it performs great. But a 525m is probably fine.

I'm surprised you still haven't found a multi-spaced name because you won't find one at all. You accused me for photo editing on proof that I showed you but really think about it, will I jeopardize my account and waste my time over just a few bucks worth of mills? no thats childish. this is what a scammer would do and majority of them are not even in high school yet.

Besides, I wouldn't just waste an OMM/MM time to "confirm" that I own the account unless we made an agreement that you will buy my account and I will sell you the account for how much rs2gp you were offering.

 

What are you going to use the laptop for mate? It's a good laptop, looks good and similar to a MacBook Pro but this laptop is only a dual core processor.

 

I don't really like Dell or HP laptops. They're not very reliable from what I hear.. I recommend Asus.

 

Gaming and other work

 

My dad uses that laptop for his work, although the specs are lower on his one. The only problem he's ever had with them is the hard drive always fails after about a year of use, however this is the hard drive itself not the laptop. It's an ok laptop, but remember desktops are always better for gaming.

 

I wouldn't recommend it for gaming to be honest, a dual core processor isn't great for gaming and amthe graphics card is pretty standard.

Buy a desktop instead, you can build a very good gaming machine for about ~1k.
