What do you guys think of the ranking system for Season 3?

I think it's absolutely terrible.

I won 7 ranked matches in a row. Go from 0 to 92 points (that's it?).
Lost 2 in a row now because of horrid feeders (0-16 and 0-22), and now I'm at 41 points.

Win 7. Gain 92.
Lose 2. Lose 51.

I feel like I'll be stuck here forever.

 

What division are you in? must be pretty high if you lose ~25LP per loss.

I'm only in Silver V.

I lost another one and went down to 26 points. Lost like 25 per match almost.

Then I won one finally. Got 8 points.

Losing more than 3 times the points I gain per win? That's insane...

It was always shit, that's why I quit ranked.

 

I'm having a similarly bad situation. My friend got lucky on his first 7 ranked games and won 6 of the 7 (he's shit and got lucky), and he went from Bronze V to Silver V in one. I, on the other hand, was apparently on the opposite side of the winning streak and got leavers in 3 of my first 5 games. Now I'm stuck at at Bronze IV and I even just got off of a winning streak of 5 of the last 6 games.

 

Yeah. I won 7 in a row. Then lost 3. Now won 3 back in a row.

Got back to 60 league points finally, but the grind is ridiculous. I'm sure I'll have to win another 4 just to get to a promotion series.

So if you win 7 and lose 3. You might as well be prepared to win another 7 in a row, or you're stuck. Those statistics are ridiculously weighed.

 

*sigh* I just got a challenge to move to the next one. BOTH FUCKING GAMES I had someone feed 3 kills then leave. I know Tgump's all about "random chance" but when you get people leaving you basically can't pull it back. At least in bronze with no coordination.

Oh, and I'm trying hard to play an assassin jungle or an assassin mid to help get the laning phases up with ganks, but seriously it's sad how people don't understand that it's the lane's job to receive a gank properly. I ping like hell saying I'm coming to the lane, and they back off to the tower, every single time. Or, here's the best story yet... I ping, my Jarvan runs away, I still burst Xin down to low health because I'm fed, Jarvan IV fucking now decides to fight and he ultimates, traps us in, and Xin flashes away. All Jarvan needed to do was a Q poke or chuck a standard on Xin's head for an easy kill. >_<

It seriously becomes frustrating when I have flash timers, teleport timers, jungle timers, and all that going on in my head, and these guys are just like "herp derp cherp I'm gonna just click a random button and see what it does."

 

It all has to do with your mmr. Remember that winning 7 and losing 2 still gains you a sort of 'hidden elo.'

 

So a high MMR means you will get placed with low MMR? Because my w/l ratio in normal is at least 60-65% since I mostly play with some friends.

 

Your MMR is in the shitter. Win more, keep winning it will return to normal and then get better. I gained 5 LP per game for a while and lost like 28 per loss. Finally out of that rut.

 

Do you press the ping button, then your cursor to the right, for the 'On my way' ping? That might help the retards.

 

I won 8 games in a row and only gained 39 LP lost 2 games lost all the LP...

As for the ranking, I know what you mean; it is stupid.

 

You're in Silver V and you managed to get on a 7 win streak? I've averaged a 6:1 KDA ratio since finishing my placement matches yet I've never gone above 30 points.

 

I didn't lose on between Silver 1 and Gold 1. It got my mmr up so high I actually skipped an entire division

God.. Why aren't I good anymore

 

If you play enough you'll eventually rise. One of my friends just recently got out of silver after 600 ranked games
