Turning 16, First car decisions.

Well, It's the time where I get my first car

My decisions are cut down to:

*01-03 BMW 540i Sport Package
*01-03 BMW 530i

*04 Escalade

EDIT: These aren't my only cars that are available to me. These are just the ones I have found the most interest in. If you think another car fits me then please feel free to share but also say why.
(If you mention anyone Japanese please only suggest Acura or Lexus)

PLEASE SUGGEST WHAT YOU THINK WOULD BE GOOD.

Money isn't a problem at all. I could easily get which ever but I need help. I'm getting a sound system and it's gonna hit pretty hard which is why I would get an escalade because it will sound better without a trunk there. But that may be a little to big. These are all luxurious BMW, one of the best manufacturers in the world, are beautiful cars. Escalades, even though they are a bit big are so nice, interior design is so so clean.

These are my thoughts on my system:
Head unit: Alpine IVA-W505
Speakers: Probably 'X series' from Alpine
Subwoofer: JL W7 or MTX 9500
Amps: Rockford Fosgate of course

Please, only post if you actually have knowledge about cars.

Your lucky your parents are paying for your car. I had to pay $16,000 out of my pocket when I was 18 for mine haha.

I would go with the 2004 Escalade. It would be much more convenient in fucking a car in that than a smaller sports car. I learned that first hand, I may have a real nice, fast, 2 seater, but you are limited.

 

Not to brag but I come from a pretty wealthy family. You paid 16 grand for a car at 18. The feeling must be so different. Think about it, YOU got it, not your parents.

Anyways, yea the Escalade does seem nice but I guess I'm really looking for something in between a beamer and an escalade.

Heh, I grew up in Palm Beach, FL, my father was one of the best plastic surgeons on the East coast of the U.S., just to put in perspective that I certainly was not middle class as well, haha.

 

I say fuck them both and get a really nice acrua integra

 

Well I got a 350z, stick shift, its a lot of fun. Especially with a twin turbo and aftermarket exhaust. The ladies absolutely love it.

 

I guess we were both lucky .

350z's are sick, what type of exhaust did you put on it?

EDIT: Just saw your post on the other thread. Dual injen have pretty solid sound your 350z is sick. Ever had a run on the dyno?

 

Nope, I haven't. But its fast -
I passed a State Trooper getting up to this speed around 150 mph, lol he didn't do anything.

 

Hahahah I wouldn't try to go after you in a crown vic either.

 

Actually he had a suped up charger but was at 0 mph lol. By the time he would have hit 60 mph I'd be way out of site.

 

Right... You live in the south. In the northeast Chargers are rarely seen on highway patrol until you get to Maryland.

Have you done anything to the interior?

 

Well I got 2 seat covers that have a switch that can massage your butt, lower back, or upper back on Low or High with Heat or no Heat. Thats one thing that makes a woman horny, the "butt" or what I call "pussy", heated vibrator haha.

Also I got 2 12" subwoofers in the back, those are Kickers. I have a 1500W amp and a capacifier. Also I have Pioneer speakers in the car as well.

 

You got the whole package. I'm lookin to put a JL 13W7 in the back with 2 1000w Rockford Fosgate amps, alpine speakers, alpine iva w106 head unit.

 

Ah okay. Yeah my whole system was about $1,100. I thought I got a pretty decent deal on it.

 

why not start off with something a little less flash, as you've just passed your test you're going to have bumbs and scrapes etc. don't go for something that you're going to kill yourself in.

 

Because I can manage something flashy. My dad is a car freak and I will catch on faster and learn more than the average person.

 

Well without experience, or any sort of rally/racing license you're going to learn the way everyone else does, and that's by making silly mistakes. I think it's fair play that you can afford it, but on a scale you'd be better off with a less valued car for a year to learn properly in then moving up the scale to cars like this.

 

Thanks for your concerns, and yea unfortunate events do occur often with young drivers. But I can assure you with the right person teaching there will be a very, very slim chance of something happening. Also, what I'm looking for isn't very high value.
