Hey readers, I'll try to make this short and sweet.

Sythe revolves around forums, so, would it make sense that a section was added that shows the "most popular" threads of the day?

    For example:

Thread 1 has 2000 views in a day meanwhile most of the other threads being posted on have 200.

Thread 1 along with relatively other popular threads are placed in the new section.

    Feedback anybody?

No support. We don't want the capitalistic idea to rule this forum and create more unbalanced trading.

Ahh, good point. Okay, let me rephrase my idea.

Non-related sales, for example, off-topic, music, spam (?), TV, personal support, something for all, etc.

A plugin would be cool, for that sections then.

Thanks for correcting me though, in my head I was thinking non-related sales but I forgot to put that.

i think it would be cool for differnet sections...although in the market its not really useful but in other threads like discussion it would be really nice

Ehhh not really needed. Just judge how popular a thread is in a certain section by the amount of posts it has, and how often it is bumped to the top of the forum.

I would support it, except for trading forums.

It could indeed be interesting. Users tend to want to participate more in an ACTIVE discussion. A top 10 could be highly appropriate if cron'd everyday, and excluding trading, indeed.

Imo, this will get users more interested in the forums. It could open up new discussion threads because lets face it, they arent used as much as the marketplace section of the forums.

Sythe could use a strong community. Can you imagine a strong community AND then a marketplace?

If there was much demand for this, then sure it'd be great addition, however its fairly well known that Sythe and Matthew do not like taking pre-packaged code and just adding it to the website, and you'd be lucky if you find such modifications that suit 3.6 around these days anyway..

So this would have to be written by Matthew/Govind since it isnt a default feature on this vB version; which is time consuming.. Is this worth the time to be added when other things could be considered?

    This

If it maybe took like a couple of hours of their free sythe time then it would be worth it but not if it took them a good couple of days

So depending on which one it is support or no support

The threads with the post amount of activity are at the top of the section and if you want you can see new posts and look for threads with a lot of posts at the top.

    No Support.

I don't really think this would provide any positive effect, no support.
