"What's happening is more complex than it first seems. What's actually going on is that the VAST majority of the level-3 characters you see playing the game repetitively and not talking to anyone, are actually people from countries such as China and Korea, who are trying to collect RuneScape gold to sell for real world money (obviously against the rules). Some of them aren't even using bots, they are just playing the game very repetitively with a single-minded purpose to collect gold. These people have no interest in playing the game properly, and therefore don't care if they get banned. The final effect is the same, though – it spoils the game for everyone else."

Wow this really hurts me. I'm from Korea, and I don't play that much and I definitely don't trade runescape money for real money!

 

just because u dont do it, doesnt mean everyones else doesnt do it

 

yeh I bet somehow a bunch of chinease and korean people found out that they could make money by playing a game and they well over did it

 

Don't take it personally, plus there are to many topics about how its prejudice, Just GET OVER IT. If you don't do what the farmers do, don't worry about it.

 

Yeah, your right, some ppl do it...

But a vast majority doesn't...and I know this, cause I'm actually from South Korea, and nobody there even heard about Runescape.

Maybe people in China do it, but certainly not us Koreans...

 

yeah i hate this stereotype made by jagex, at least they coulda made it sound better...

 

they aren't being racist, they probably know about tha places in korea and china that do it, im sure if they were mostly located in say California, they would have said sweat shops in California.. they're using an example

 

Alot of people do it. More do it than people who don't.
