Mathman11 Scamming - Recovering RS Account

On the 10th of December, Mathman11 sold me a Runescape account with the login “Torn Rain” for 125m rsgp. I had rented the account from him to use for staking, and then purchased the account afterwards. Since then, he has recovered the account multiple times from me, and he is now renting this account to other users. Unfortunately, I was too trusting of this user, as he seemed extremely friendly, so I did not capture a huge amount of the evidence that was communicated over msn. However, the evidence I do have should be more than sufficient to warrant a ban.

The email he sent me containing the information for the account (I can allow a mod to log into the email to verify it is from him). I created this email specifically to be used for the account Torn Rain. Notice that the name of the attached text file is the name of the account, and it was sent on the day the sale took place:



The information given in that email was insufficient for recovering the account, and was most likely completely fabricated.

After the trade:
11 days after the trade, the account he sold me was locked due to a recovery attempt being placed. I put in a recovery attempt of my own using the information he gave me, but it was denied. Here are the two PM’s I sent him about it:





He then got the account back to me, and I noticed that his IP address was the last to log into the account, meaning he had entered the game on that character before returning the account to me.


14 days later, the account was recovered again, and I received this pm from him:



He stated that it was a mistake and he didn’t even log in, but the last login IP was once again his.

14 days later, the account was recovered yet again. I sent him this pm:

I find it very strange that he would recover an account in my possession in order to avoid the account falling victim to a phishing attempt when it was his laptop that was compromised. This is a completely ridiculous excuse, and this alone should warrant a TWC if nothing else. Here is the PM I sent to him in reply:



I did not get a PM response to this, and upon getting the account back the last login IP was once again his. On msn he told me that it was just “out of habit” that he was logging back into the account. I have chat logs of this all, but unfortunately no screenshots were taken while the conversations were still active.

A few days ago, I noticed that my password for the account no longer worked and that the account had once again been recovered (the 4th time since December 21st). After checking runetracker.org, I saw that the account has been gaining combat experience without me having access to it. Today I sent this PM to him:



After sending that pm, I began browsing his recent posts, and I saw that he is now renting the account that he recovered from me. Here is the thread on which he is renting the account:

Notice that the image for the account is the exact same image for the account he had previously rented and then sold to me.

I was going to once more give him the benefit of the doubt and let him explain why he recovered the account again before posting this report, but after seeing that he is renting and selling the account again I think that it is urgent that he be stopped before someone gets scammed for an even larger amount. I have not seen him on msn for a very long time (he has most likely deleted me), but if he sends me a response via PM I will post it here.

Additional Information:

At the time of the purchase, the account display name was the same as the account log-in name, which was "Torn Rain". When the account was in my possession, I changed the display name to "The Puncher", and that is still the current display name.
