    Skype proof log question.

If someone removes a message can you view it later? If so, surely couldn't people remove 'accepted trade confirmation' messages, and therefore there would be no proof of them confirming. Is it possible to view even if removed?

    Skype proof log question.

If it was removed is that sufficient proof to state they confirmed it?

Preferably you'd need to screenshot as soon as they confirmed, to avoid this.

If there is no further evidence to suggest the trade went through, you could find yourself in a bad situation.

So pretty much you're screwed? This is a downfall for skype, if it was removed at a dodgy position would it be assumed that they scammed?

    Skype proof log question.

If the person was offline and refused to answer PM's etc I'd assume they'd scammed.

If I was dealing with a situation like this then I'd contact the buyer and ask for proof of purchase.

    Skype proof log question.

Once the message is removed its gone. Unless you took a screenshot or you have a connection to Skype on a machine or device that isn't connected to Skype online at the time then there's no way to prove it. I'm hoping some sort of add on or modification will be made for this, as its easier than ever to remove proof and change chat logs now.

    Skype proof log question.

You should always video your trades, it takes 2 seconds to turn on a screen recorder and can save you hours of headache.

    Skype proof log question.

Screenshot immediately after they accept, if they remove that message, it's viable proof IMO, but you may need a bit more to convince others.

    Skype proof log question.

Deleting text on Skype in a trade at least warrants a TWC in my opinion.

It depends, if it's in a trade yeah, as in some conversation it's removed for safety.

    Skype proof log question.

It's kinda obvious if a message gets removed, so in a scam report it should count as trade confirmed or something like that. It's very suspicious to say the least.

    Skype proof log question.

Why else would someone remove any Skype messages other than removing evidence of a scam? The act of removing any Skype message is dodgy behavior in itself and should be able to be warrant a TWC at least.
