Skype keeps quitting unexpectedly (mac)

    Skype keeps quitting unexpectedly (mac)
    I use a macbook pro and lately my skype has been crashing with the message

    Skype quit unexpectedly

    Sometimes I can reopen it and it will play nice for 20 minutes but most of the time it constantly crashes. When it crashes i'm not even doing anything extensive like video calling, I just have it open at the side while browsing the internet and it will crash. This has only been happening recently. Anyone know how to fix this problem? Is there a less intensive skype version I can download somewhere?

    Had a problem similar to this one on my old pc (windows 7 legitimate)
    The problem for me was using iTunes, after i uninstalled that it magically started working again lol.
    Haven't had it ever since, but might be related.

    Sorry if it doesn't help :p

    Did nothing.


    Yes, got rid of old version to get new version and still happens.

    yeh dude try and re-download skype again and if that dosent work, try looking in task manager because a seprate application could be causing it
