Skip the RuneScape launcher, straight to client?

    Hi all!

I'm currently working on a personal botting client that's alternative, in that it doesn't work by injection or colour. I'm designing it to be near-undetectable. I'm proficient with C++ and C#, however this has gotten me stuck.

Since I don't want to modify the client (as I have no knowledge of reverse-engineering and), instead, I plan on neatly integrating the main client into the ParentWindow (the botting client). I have found a way to integrate an external executable file into the botting client (e.g. notepad.exe in my WinForm)

However, I need to find a way to skip the initial launcher loading screen that loads the application resources and, instead, go straight to the RuneScape client itself. I tried pinning "RuneScape Client" (as opposed to RuneScape Launcher) onto the taskbar, but when I open that, it also plays through the loading screen. Obviously the main purpose of the Launcher is to download application resources and to check for client updates, prior to launching the main NXT client itself, so I don't mind if the client takes a while to load.

Since it's a private client with private scripts, I suppose modifying the Jagex Cache (or something?) won't be too much of an issue, I just don't know how yet.

Please help - what's in it for you? Anybody who gives me a solid answer can have the client for their own personal use only (i.e. no distributing).

I don't want to use the Java client as it uses too much of the system's resources. I have tested my method of botting on the web-based version of RuneScape, and it works like a charm with no bans. I know that the code is solid. However the NXT client's the only way to run a farm efficiently on a single computer.

    Thanks for any help!

Nice profile picture. I did it by setting a SetWinEventHook api function to monitor the system for new windows being created. I then made this new window (i.e. the main NXT client that succeeds the splash screen) the child of the panel. However, due to the fact that the splash screen and the main client itself both run off of the exact same processes (rs2client2.exe & runescape.exe), I was forced to use a timer (set to the value of 25000) to estimate when the splash screen had concluded. This, coupled with some neat loading screens makes for a very smooth feature. Since then I've created a chocolate bar grinding (using my own unique form of script) script. It works like an absolute charm.

The reason why I could not simply reverse engineer the cache files and create a whole new NXT client, is because this increases detectability; I'm aiming for large-scale gold-farming and, therefore, it's paramount that none of the bots are detected as bans (particularly chain-bans) will result in significant financial loss and flagging. Not to mention the fact that modifying Jagex's code is illegal (Especially if, one day, I decided to distribute this application)

Do you think your method would work for osrs? would make a lot more money and would you sell your method wit script/bot
