Auctioning

Need some clarification here,

I often auction off my assets, problem is once a bidder confirms his bid majority of the times he will back out in the end and not honour his bid. Is there a rule where it says there are consequences for not honouring or backing out of a bid someone makes. I may lack the information. thanks

 

I don't believe there is an actual Sythe rule stating you need to commit to your bid or there will be consequences. However, when @video does his auctions for miniranks (a banned member auction) if you place a bid and you're the winner but don't pay out you're hit with a TWC. I feel like this is something that should be added into the actual rules of Sythe, if you bid on an item and don't pay out or back down without a reasonable excuse then it should be something such as a TWC.

 

I have also noticed video's threads and can't help but think if the rules are applied to general sales. If we're allowed to follow the same layout style; auction with an end time and maybe a reserve value it would make complete sense as it avoids wasting of effort and time on my end. I won't disclose names, but there's are few donor who've ghosted me in the past through not honouring and its just a shady thing to do.

 

If you make an auction and you want users' bids to be binding, you just have to clearly state that in the thread, and that failure to fulfill a bid will result in them being reported, something like that
