Skill to Combat?

I always get destroyed. No matter what I do.
Recently I've been lpaying c wars, and notice I'm TERRIBLE!



Is there a skill to it?
Suggestions please!

 

Yh... The type of gear you use makes a difference

 

Any suggestions on what to get/Go for?
I'm terribly poor, so don't suggest anything like Torva lol.

 

Get chaotic weapons first of all.. Upgrade ammy armor one by one do some pvm to make money...Do the quest to get barrow gloves ( recipe for disaster)

 

well finishing out rfd would help alot seeing as barrows gloves blow rune out of the water. Also using a fighter torso is fine and dandy when you arent taking much damage but seeing as it has worse defense than rune (hardly better than adamant) you should realllllly think about using something else bcp if you can afford it. Getting a fire cape / kiln cape shouldnt be too hard at your stats either and will make quite the difference as would a soulwars cape if you plan on praying alot. Also your prayer is pretty low at your level but i can understand seeing as its soooo expensive to train. Most people near your lvl will be using turmoil and soulsplit giving them an obvious advantage. Getting extremes or overloads should also be a priority, over turmoil in my opinion

 

Based on the RuneHQ calculator...Looks like Dh plate may be my next stop.

 

ahahah i was typing this as your picture was loading, guthans plate is actually a bit cheaper than dh plate with same stats doesnt quite look as cool as dh or torags imo though. Its not by much so its kinda just splitting hairs

 

Any barrows right now would be a good choice for you. It's amazing armor for cheap price. Upgrade to a glory, get better defence with a shield (DFS usually because of it's epic defence and strength bonus and price), Barrows Gloves, and you should be good. If you can afford curses in the near future, I do suggest getting those. The tables will turn from getting destroyed to destroying. If you go with a chaotic, get the rapier first, CLS second. Rapier is useful for everything while CLS is only limited to bossing usually because of it's slow, but heavy attacks.

 

I only have 100k, it's a bit out of hand for me to get some of that stuff.

What do you mean you always get destroyed in combat? Are you talking about primarily combat in castle wars or slayer/pvm etc also? If you clarified that would be appreciated.
For castle wars to win just join a clan for calls on what team, most people you will lose to barrage and the such or use turmoil, if you are poor neither of those are viable options.

 

Can I ask what level you were before you bought this account?

 

I forgot to add get a nezzy helm and after reading about how poor you are i suggest getting a full set of void and doing conquest to get a deflector, so you could wear barrows gloves. Void knight robes with goliath gloves is the hardest hitting armor set in the game with a one handed wep hands down, doesnt cost a dime either. Goliath gloves are from the dominion tower and are degradable i really suggest getting them seeing as they are fun to get and best in game, barrows gloves are beastly and non degradable and a great substitute. Void knight robes sacrifice quite a bit of melee defense, but provide great switching for hybridding and great mage defense. With your cost limitations and what not this sounds like your best bet.
