Good Gawd

So a lot of the 3d sigs are starting to look the same now, I will give props to Kina for changing his look up but everyone else who is doing those sigs all of their work looks like every other sig they have done. There has been no variety, besides a change in color and even then a lot of the time its only slight.

I just want to discuss and see who else is tired of this besides me? Everyone having the same sig with different text. How can we combat this?

 

I totaly agree everything looks the same I just downloaded c4d because it looks like no one cares about potoshop stuff anymore ;(

 

Total agree with Nero, I'll throw a tutorial online on how to do the effect most people are doing so everyone can and there shouldn't be charged for their work
And thanks alot for the compliment, I've been trying to change my style a long time now and I think I finally got a hang of it lol.

C4D seems to be the new photoshop. Personally, I still enjoy the good ol' effects of 2D graphics much better than purely 3D effects. It feels like more skill and artistic knowledge is put into them than the whoring effects of 3D

A 3D sig can be done in 20 minutes if you know the effects; an actual sig take 1 - 2 hours and sometimes a lot more to do. It take resources and it takes the ability to combine these resources, knowledge of multiple tools and even more.

 

Right like I said, 2D takes a lot more skill. You don't have the automatically generated effects to give the signature depth and flow and the sense of dimension, you have to do that manually with photoshop.

I should get back into photoshop and dispel this revolution with good old fashion awesome signatures

Hey what can you say? The ignorance of consumers is astounding. The generic 3D signature seems to appeal to many consumers because this is what they're used to seeing many "powerful" or "respected" people have, so they want something of the sort.

I myself cannot use the 3D effects (I don't have the Graphics Card) but in some cases, I try to manipulate 2D to make it seem 3D (shading, lighting, etc..).

 

c4d is good, but I still prefer photoshop.
