    I Eat & Gain no Weight.

    Hey, I'm 15 and I eat a lot! When I'm bored I just sit there and nibble some crisps or whatever I can find. I am rather average in the size department and but never gain any weight to turn into muscle though, and it baffles me! Can anyone give me an explanation or solution to my problem?

    Are you eating shit or protein?

    If you have a high metabolism you need something to stick, carbs and protein.

    If your eating junk food like crisp that's all bad stuff man that doesn't make you grow and gain weight. Ill give you advice that I've always been told if you eat your mothers food that she makes you would gain and grow all you wanted because that's the stuff that has the protein and all the vitamins you need inside your body & also don't forget eat fruits etc also. goodluck.

    This generally means you are predisposed to being skinny due to high metabolism/genetics etc. Thinking crisps is the thing to eat to assist in gaining muscle though is folly.

    Guys I do not just eat junk. I eat all my mum's food and lots of meats and proteins. I believe I may have a high metabolism, and I didn't say crisps were the thing to eat, I just put that in there because they're fattening. I am not lanky, because I am of average height and lanky generally has connotations of being tall and things. Basically I just find it hard to put weight on, I don't have like a major health issue, I do a lot of sports and consider myself more than just healthy...

    If you aren't gaining weight then you just aren't eating enough. I have heard the same story from my friends and all have said something like this "Man I eat a lot but gain no weight". But in reality after I see how little they eat I just facepalm. The reason also might be in the sports you do. For example you aren't going to bulk up from eating and running alone.

    I'm a huge motocross fanatic, and am always somewhere on my bike, I love it:love:. Could this sport have anything to do with it? My friends are always saying they're jealous because they eat and put on a lot of weight, whereas I don't... I'm not too sure what the average person's food consumption is.

    I used to be fairly skinny, but I've started eating and working out. Not crisps and garbage, proper food.

    1kg chicken, 500g oats, 500g brocolli, 2lt milk, 4 eggs per day minimum.
    HAVE to work out eating this much.

    Gained 14kg over 3 months. Bit of fat here and there but mainly muscle. All this horseshit about having a high metabolism is bollocks. You're not eating enough.

    It comes down to calories. If you aren't gaining weight, up your calories. Really shouldn't be that hard if you are dedicated. Peanut butter ftw.

    I used to think the same thing that you're saying now. You just need to eat more. Keep track of your calories and make sure you're getting enough. I had to force myself at first, but it gets easier.

    I have the same problem, I have a really high metabolism, So right when I eat something I eat something elsw and it goes on and on and I never gain a pound. Most of its healthy food also.

    You have to be in calorie surplus. Search for a calorie calc, and go 500-600 calories over maintain calories. Also i would recommend to count your calories.

    Making myself be sick? I'm sorry but I'm not prepared to do that.

    Guys I eat some really quality food, and then on the contrary a lot of junk food. I eat a lot of chocolate which is bad, and also McDonald's like once per fort-night. I honestly do eat a lot. I might start going to the gym and working out. See how it goes!^_^

    When I as 15 - 24 I could eat 2+ pounds a day and gain no weight. I stayed around 150 for over 7 years and I ate like a monster. It was nothing for me to eat a 1 pound sandwich for lunch.

    I slow down now and am up to 165. So don't sweat it, just eat like normal.

    Good to know someone else has experienced such a problem. It's just frustrating because I wanna go to the gym and workout, but there is no point when I have no meat on me=@, it is frustrating but I'm sure I'll get over it.
