    VPN Torrenting Questions

After doing some research, I decided I was going to buy a 1 month subscription (trial) for torrenting as I really don't to get hit with a heffty fine. I plan just just download with a 1kb/s or less upload rate on each torrent and stopping the torrent all together after the download completes (0mB uploaded). However I was getting around 15-20kB/s with 1 movie downloading with PeerBlock on. This was an outrage to me so I decided a VPN is the way to go.

I decided to go with Private Internet Access for $7/Month. After reading many reviews it seemed that it had the most bang for my buck. Everything from many servers, to a Socks5 proxy(for use within uTorrent), I felt happy.

    Now for MY questions.
#1. Here are the advanced settings that I think FIT best for torrenting: http://gyazo.com/e6605e2035d2396bafbcb991f09ac431
Any suggestions? (This is all they give me besides connection point)

#2. Should I be running PeerBlock WITH the VPN running as well?

#3. Should I be using the proxy while using the VPN or is that just overkill?

#4. I believe I set everything up correctly. I live on the east coast, and when I go to ipchicken.com and https://www.privateinternetaccess.com/pages/whats-my-ip/ I appear to be in Chicago. Does this mean all of my data is now being encrypted and I am set to?

EDIT: #5. What programs do you all use to shut down uTorrent if your VPN crashes/dies, or will that setting be adequate itself?

EDIT2: #6. WHY Am i getting such slow DL speeds: http://gyazo.com/da4cd9ed93073cc9bc8e294cc2625089

#7. While at university, can I use this VPN to cover my traffic and torrent, or can the deep packet inspections still catch that?

Fast responses to my nooby questions is appreciated :)

1.) I think all settings are OK. You can always open a port (I think you get more peers) but you should be fine without it.

2.) Not necessary, the VPN is enough.

3.) Same as #2, the VPN is enough.

4.) Yes, as soon as your VPN is connected/running, you're protected.

For #5 im not really sure what you ask for, but if your VPN crashes while your downloading, don't worry m8, it's not like you'll get caught.

May I ask you why you're using a VPN for downloading torrents ? I've been downloading torrents for years ... but I live in Canada so idk if laws are the same.

Unless you live in France (HADOPI law), I think you don't have to worry about getting caught.

Oh never knew they did that in US, my bad.

Better answer for #5: There's no program to shut down utorrent auto. if your VPN crashes (unless you have an option in your VPN). Just hope it doesn't crash :S
