Help new users get Vouches

A program to let new users gain reputation through services.

This could be a whole new subforum where already respected users could post small tasks they needed done for account services and if they were willing for a new user to do it. Then new users could go there and do the service. This would be a different subforum than the extremely cluttered Services area. There are associated risks with this but that's how trust is gained.

This would divide established services (50+ Completed services or some other number) to those that are new and pose a greater risk. Established services could charge higher prices, because they're more of a verified service and smaller ones would have a chance to stand out.

It's incredibly cluttered with developed services and occasionally small ones.

It could work, if done right. Scammers could very well just do small tasks until they gain more rep and then run off with a huge scam. However, I do think some good could come out of it if there was a way to separate smaller services from smaller businesses. I do not consider my business large by any means, so often times I get overshadowed by the bigger names; but vouches does not directly translate to trustworthiness. I have done numerous services without getting a vouch, so I rely on merit and good business-buyer relationships.

TL;DR: IF a way was found to make it work, yes.

 

Making vouches easier to get is not something to be considered lightly, it makes scamming easier for new users/ban evaders/etc aswell, then those scammed users quit using sythe etc.

There is a lot more to consider about this idea than whats considered in OP, I don't think its a bad idea but this has a far-reaching impact on the forum that has not even been mentioned.

Considering ur a CDT leader however its ur responsibly to consider those impacts on the community.

I sit neutral until the impact is considered.

 

How is it cluttered? If you bumped every 8 hours you'd never leave the front page...

The system already works fine and RS services are broken down into a ton of sections. I don't think there's a valid reason to break it down into more.

 

This is just a suggestion to segment developed businesses from undeveloped ones.

With an interesting title and premise.

I'm here to develop the community for all users. People are going to get scammed either way, and I don't think this is going to make it easier. There could be a bond payment by business that want to get into the "developed business section" to pay for any mediation.

 

People already offer free skilling within the questing and services area so I don't really see a need for this.

 

Interesting topic. I myself don't have many vouches ''2'' and ''2'' being earned. It would be nice to make fast vouches but at the same time i'd personally say that's upto the new user to make an impact or look for a easy way. Like when you see a vouch thread full of ''bought rs gold'' or ''rented a main'' them vouches are not what people are looking to see. I'd like the vouches to remain a lengthy build up or it takes the profile worthy away. What i mean by this is to many people have to much to loose i feel this would make it less of something to loose for people? I support the section for new people but i dont support the fast build up of vouches

 

No support, why should getting vouches be easy? If you try hard enough you'll get there eventually.

 

But if something goes wrong, like new user scams the customers gp, who is in accountable then?

 

I have always understood that you are accountable if your worker scams?
