What's wrong with my signature?

Why can't I make it transparent?

I tried using the same color as sythe background but it still came out like this.

I used print screen on sythe and then color tool to get the same color.

 

Well there isn't much wrong with it at the moment. It's giving the same effect as if it's transparent. However it is clipping a fair bit on the sides, I would use a soft eraser to soften it out. If you want to make an image transparent, take out the background and save it as a .PNG

 

If you've used the "screen" or "lighten" method to get the lightning effect, you won't be able to make the background transparent as they work depending on the background.

I'd recommend either:

(i) doing with MoonGlare suggested with the rubber or
(ii) enlarging the canvas and using the blend tool to blend out the edge.

 

Well put Danai, its pretty much the whole section of blending modes starting with 'lighten'.
