Signature/avater Rules.

I think staff shouldnt be able to touch are sigs. Some people pay for them and they go in and just change them. I dont think its right. I think its power abuse.

I agree, but they should only be able to edit them if they are oversized or against any rule. What's been going on the past, how long, is uncalled for, even if it's for the lulz.. It shouldn't happen.

 

Admittedly though, the whole situation has provided many lulz.

If you didn't break rules or do taboo things in your sig, it wouldn't be touched. Simple as that, you break rules you deserve to lose your shit.

I take great amusement in deleting the vouches of people's sigs if they make their sig oversized - makes me smile.

and trust me, to pm all those people to get replies like "I'm not changing it, it's fine how it is" is annoying and a waste of time. Your signature is a privelage, abuse it, you lose it.

I don't ever completely delete a sig; I just remove most/all of the bbcode, and leave a note saying get a vouch thread or smaller sig.

There already are signature limits, just so you know.

 

But then why are people deleting are pokemon in are sigs and when we had asain sigs they got deleted and replaced.

 

I'm unsure of the reasoning behind the pokemon sigs, but the asian things was taboo but it's done for anyway.

Anyways, maybe it can be made to where when it is edited it's sent to your pm box or something for you to resize.

 

That is actually a good idea, I would support a mod in vB where it sends the sig before the edit to the person's PM box, with a moderator-applied message like "Your sig exceeded the size limit so shrink it then apply it" Would be good for members and mods alike.

 

If a person is too stupid to follow some basic rules, such as correct size or non discriminating/offensive then the staff should totally be allowed to edit it.
However I stand with the case that a person has not broken any rules a moderator/ Administrator should not be allowed to touch it.
