I will use that website as an example, the KoL has a very small player base (8-10 times smaller than sythe) but KoL unlike sythe has a very loyal playerbase, because of the radio.

RadioKol is run by DJs that are strategically positioned all over the globe so that nobody is ever left with nothing, even in the times when nobody can host, there are recorded shows and music.

Sythe.org has users who are capable of running a shoutcast station.
Sythe.org has users who could set up a shoutcast station.

I could get more information if anyone thinks this is a good idea.

 

I like this idea alot. Perhaps its something worth looking into?
I do suppose it would have to be based on individual users setting up and running something like this.

 

I have often thought about setting something like this up... I would be more into doing things such as pre-recorded rants and things like that and possibly paying for bits and pieces that may need to be paid for...

But it WOULD have to be something set-up by a member i very muchly doubt sythe himself would have anything to do with it. We should talk on msn about it bro... Your on my list so give me a holler when you see me on next.

Depends on the number of people listening, I only looked at shoutcast hosting, but can be 30$ a month for 100 listeners at one time.

If we did decide to do it, A team of 3-5 people for development would work.

i can easily afford 30$ a month... Its like an hours work... If you can get some other people willing to do recordings and whatnot i dont see why we couldn't get something going... And at the least just have it feeding from someones music playlist...

 

that would be pretty cool, but then again , some peoples voices are rather irritating.

 

We might end up doing more prerecorded shows than live ones.

Well I think this is a good idea. I've always listened to Zybez Radio, and I had always wanted to DJ for them. If you need any DJs, or any Dev team members, message me or something, I'd be glad to help.

Only the DJ's would be able talk, and make it so we don't have annoying DJ's.

now take off all the inactive members, then the ones who wouldn't know how to tune in, then the oens who just wouldnt be bothered. if you can buy the cheaper one then upgrade later through the year if it gets more popular i might comsider it. I am sure i could find other people who would help pay and if not ill do it myself >.>
