Shouldn't have to look that hard at vouches..

Little rant about the market place. Sometimes I see people advertising 50+ vouches, 40+ vouches, 70+
vouches, and have been here a month or two. Unless you're some type of forum expert who knows
exactly what they're doing and are heavily involved in the market, you probably wouldn't obtain
these many vouches, and that's exactly the case.

Users are obtaining a substantial amount of vouches through things like:

    1) "Vouch for XXXX He went first with 1M and I trained his account"
1,000,000 gold is nothing at all, and virtually no trust goes into this trade.

    2) "Vouch for XXXX bought 10m off me and he went first"
    b) "Vouch for XXXX came back to me and bought another 5m"
    c) "Vouch for XXXX did business the third time, bought 6M off me"

All of these trades are small trades with trusted users, and the expert vouch obtainer going first. Once
again, this trade shows no significant trust or anything, simply just shows they trust someone else. I
personally feel like these types of things are causing an easy gateway for scammers to scam. This
isn't a suggestion thread, but I would like to discuss what you guys think. For me, I didn't think
much of it at first until recently. I would normally assume someone who advertises many vouches
would be a professional with alot of trades done and be very trusted, but you can find someone
obtaining a large amount of vouches costing them next to nothing for very minimal trades.

I have found many users who are obtaining vouches very fast.
I have studied some recent scam-quitters to find out they carry out the same course of action.
Scam quit or not? Time will tell.

Only issue I find is if we got rid of vouches for small trades at this point, anyone wanting to get into the market will be seen to have no vouches because you might be required to do a minimum of 20m (just as an example) for a vouch - so all these new people will be overlooked for all those advertising “500+ vouches”. So they’ll never be able to obtain any trust to begin with, even if they are trustworthy and legitimate.

I agree. It's like eBay feedback, you think 'woah, that's a lot of positive feedback' only to click the profile and see:

    Buyer
    Buyer
    Buyer
    Buyer
    Buyer

Obtaining feedback for the equivalent of 'going first', i.e. being the buyer and paying up front essentially nullifies the value of feedback left for you by the seller. You risked nothing, no burden of trust was placed on you. Always ignore buyer feedback tbh.

    Hah, good one.

I'm not saying we need to remove low tier vouching, but I think some work could be done.
This is a feeler post, thanks for your input my friend.

    That's exactly it.
When you report a scammer on Sythe.org, it's like a court case.
In real life, 99% of the time if you're "vouching" for someone, it's vouching for their legitimacy.
Should be the same here in my opinion, but it's an extremely sensitive area to fuck with.
