Moderator "Andy"..

So for absolutely no reason at all, I have just received a racist and derogatory remark via private message. The sender also felt the need to tell me to "get the f*** out" of this community.

I chose to escalate this and reported the message using the report function.

This is the message I have just received from the moderator who viewed it;
"Your recent report has been resolved: Conversation Message in 'Osrs gold' - just block them and move on - Andy"

Is this the correct way to treat racism and abuse in this community?? I haven't been here long and until recently was only a guest, don't think ill bother staying much longer.

Sort your staff out!? - where would we be in this world if this was allowed everywhere!
I believe Andy should also have some sort of action taken for dismissing this as though it is nothing. Failure to uphold his duty.

I would think racism is pretty extreme? Not sure where you draw the line?!

Also; had you assessed this members behaviour from the original report, maybe you would of found out for yourself, that he was infact a ban evader. Therefore you would not of had to rely on another member's report.

 

Private messages are not the spam forum and its against the rules to PM hate speech to someone else. Ridiculous suggestion to "just block him" with no infraction and OP is completely correct that you are in the wrong here.
