Looking to buy a new computer.

I'm looking to spend around $1,000 on a new desktop, mainly for gaming.

    I've found these on Newegg:

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883147037

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883147039

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883147036

Opinions? I don't know much about computers, so I don't know which one to choose. If you find one that is good for the same price, please post that.

(Also, don't tell me to build my own computer. I don't know how.)

All of those computers are fine, but if you have a computer specialist, or simply a friend that can build a computer, then you can get a much better computer for much cheaper.

Looking to buy a new computer.

Depends what you want your pc for, gaming? Well you could buy a barebone and buy the needed componenets separately as it would turn out cheaper. But if you can build your own pc or you know someone who can, it will turn out A LOT cheaper.
The 2nd one i would say is the best for money, it has an i7 which is pretty new and its at 2.8GHz and the fact its intel means you could probably overclock it to say 3.6ghz if not more provided the cpu isnt locked. Gaming wise and general performance the 2nd one would be my choice partially because i prefer intel.

Number three will be probably the most cost efficient system. As said before though, you really should build a system if you're going to be serious about this. It isn't hard at all, and you'll get the same system for 30-50% less than what you'd pay if you buy it from a retailer.

If he's going to be doing any serious overclocking he would need a better than stock heatsink for his CPU.. especially that i7. That thing needs some serious cooling if you go much higher than stock. Personally I think AMD has a superior quadcore architecture, especially if you get a Phenom II, with the huge L3 cache.. A high range Phenom II will probably give you 95% of the performance of an i7 at a similar clock speed at about 65% of the price, which most people can easily live with.

    Edit:
Also, that video card seems like somewhat of a bottleneck on an otherwise great system.. don't get me wrong, it's a decently good card but compared to everything else in those two systems it's a little subpar.

Pen, how come you don't read a tutorial on building a computer? There are literally a billion good detailed ones out there. It can help save you a lot of money. Out of all of those choices, I would say 3rd one is the best. However, there are better pre-built computers out there in my opinion.

Go for the http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883147036 it's the cheapest and the only disadvantage compared to the other ones is a slower Hard Drive.

Typically I would think this would be the best thing to do, but looking at the computers you probably wouldn't save much money, and the construction would be very time consuming even with a well trained professional.

That's actually really good. This disadvantages would be it doesn't have Blu-ray and the graphics card isn't that special. Youtube the graphics card to compare the graphics and find what you are satisfied with. Blu-ray isn't a big deal the price is dropping like a rock now, so if you want to upgrade in a year it'll be much cheaper.

Don't know if it's out of your budget, but look at Alienware laptops and desktops.

    This ftw.

Never ever buy a premade pc if you know someone who can put one together. Premade pcs are a waste of money. I can do with $500 what you can premake for $1000. (of course not everyone has the knowledge or time)

Looking to buy a new computer.

Make a custom one. Buy parts online and you'll save hundreds of dollars. I bought parts online and put them all together and made a beast computer. Normally at a store it will cost 700$ but since I bought the parts online and put them together myself it all added up to 350$. What a save! Eh?

    ;)
