Hello i am new

I am new to scythe but i plan on becoming a reliable gold seller. I was wondering if any members had any advice on how to establish myself as creditable. Also i have a question on how to avoid being scammed. I wont be able to start selling runescape gold for a while, but i want to establish myself now or at least have a understanding of what im getting myself into.

 

Start off selling in small increments. DO NOT GO FIRST TO PEOPLE WHO SEEM UNRELIABLE. You can gain some credibility by offering to go first to TRUSTED members. After you've gotten enough vouches, people will be less reluctant to go first to you. It's relatively easy to see who's trusted and who's not

Edit: What I mean by small increments is like, increments of 50M or so, depending on how much gold you have to sell. Also, trusted doesn't really mean 4 or 5 vouches. Trusted is more like 50+ vouches.

Basically, if you really are legit, you should be willing to go first to people who are visibly very trusted

Oh, yeah. Also be sure to quickly look through whoever you're selling gold to's vouches, to make sure they're legitimate vouches and not all from Newcomer accounts created around the same Join Date

 

The one thing you must remember is that ANYONE can chargeback using paypal, it is a very unsecure payment method and you are better off using something else. Even with a middleman a scammer can just say their credit card was stolen and they're guaranteed to win the dispute. You always have to evaluate whoever you're selling to and look over recent posts and vouches. Its very easy to spot a scammer before they get a chance to scam you. If you want to build up trust you need to just do a lot of trades and do em legit.

 

Apart from what other people have said, make yourself look professional. Don't use sloppy writing, because in my personal opinion that doesn't look like someone who is serious about making legitimate, trustworthy transactions.
