...Lag?

This is the first time I've logged in since the bot nuke. I ran the game perfectly before, even multiple instances while botting. I can't even run one game client now, without my fps dropping to like 10.

I even bought a new graphics card and upgraded my RAM soon after the bot nuke. If anything, I should be able to run the game better than before. Anyone else getting this horrible lag? ...Literally 5-6 fps. Happens both maxed out, and in minimum settings.

EDIT: And the new armor looks like shit. I guess the idea behind the bot nuke was to make the game so bad, no one wants to play anymore.

 

Yeah, the game has been like this since the bot nuke. I only get 30-40FPS max and it should be a lot higher than that if I'm honest. All we can do is wait for Jagex to fix it or make an announcement on the situation. The best you can do for now is keep your Java updated and your graphics drivers, some people say that get slightly less lag when they run the RS Client also.

 

30-40 fps? There's definitely a problem on my end... Running the downloadable RS client. Upgraded my card to a GT 430 and my ram to 4 gb. Dual core 2 ghz cpu which isn't good by any means, but it shouldn't bottleneck on Runescape... Doesn't max out my cpu or physical memory, and my graphics card should blow this game away.

Any idea on what might be wrong with my fps?

e: Tried running from the website. 11 fps. Dafuck.

 

It's nothing wrong on your end, Jagex are aware of the problem that they are having with the lag due to the constant graphical updates and they have confirmed in a Q & A that something is being done to address it.

It should be a lot higher than 30-40 lol. You should be getting AT LEAST 25 FPS, your card can run RS quite well. Try running RS in safe mode.

 

At least 25 fps on runescape? I get at least 25 playing Skyrim at 1600x900 -_-

No dice. FPS stayed steady at 11-12 with safemode on, 5-6 in reasonable sized groups of people. 30-40 is near what I was getting playing on my integrated 6150se before the bot nuke, with 2-3 clients running at once.

 

I'm afraid all you can do then is wait for Jagex to do something about it, if they will. Looks like the best FPS you can get currently is on safe mode, so you may be better off sticking with safe mode for now.

 

They stated that they're currently working on the problem and they'll release the "fixes" one by one to see which one works, etc.
